There are hundreds, actually thousands of records not just in news papers, but county histories, science journals and Smithsonian mound exploration documents which give measurements of skeletons way over 7 and 8 feet tall, and with bones of correspondingly huge size. Some of the axes and weapons the were found with were even huge.
