The Secular World Lies. Masturbation Is NOT Healthy. | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 27211004 Canada 12/16/2012 06:49 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Supposedly "masturbation is healthy". That's what the secular world has been telling me all my life. Quoting: Truth 12430998 But I found from personal experience that if I took this advice and masturbated that although I would feel good for about 24 hours afterward, from then on and lasting for about the next week I would suffer from mild anxiety. It's as if some chemicals were released in my body, and it took several days for the effect to subside. The only way to keep up that initial good feeling was to keep masturbating every day, which was basically a drug addiction, and sometimes I would do it too much and begin to feel tired, fatigued, and sore. If I watched pornography while I masturbated, it was even worse. I became generally irritable around people, and I was less eager to communicate with them. Masturbation drains your life force. Pornography drains your soul. The idea that masturbation is a safe and fun source of entertainment is a lie perpetrated by an evil, corrupt, materialistic world. Probably true. How long have you abstaind? Are you married? |

It's definitely not healthy to give the body constant signals of success when there is none. We don't yet fully understand all of the biological consequences of such behavior, but basic common sense ought to give any rational person pause. Read old books on animal husbandry, there's a lot of relevant info to be found there. |

Its infernal, distracting, and annoying to have to blow out the pipes to satisfy these built in drives. Even if you have the discipline to abstain, you are likely to have a wet dream in a month or so anyway. Its a waste of time and energy but I don't see any way out. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 18968393 United States 12/16/2012 08:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There are no clear studies that prove that masturbation is healthy and keeps the prostate healthy. For every study that says it is, there is one that says it does not. The prostate is not a muscle but a gland, so it cannot get stronger by using it more. Over-use (3 ejaculations or more a week) would cause abbrasions, which can cause it to become congested and inflamed, which can lead to prostate issues. Frequent masturbation and ejaculation (more than 3 times a week) stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions excessively, resulting in the over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin. Abundant and unusually amount of these hormones and neurotransmitters can cause the brain and adrenal glands to perform excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and turn the brain and body functions to be extremely sympathetic. In other words, there is a big change of body chemistry when one excessively pratices masturbation. Note: Masturbation is a healthy sexual behavior. Like other behaviors, when over practiced or addicted it can lead to both psychological and physiological imbalances. The side effects of such changes to the body include: Fatigue. Feeling tired all the time Lower back pain Stress / Anxiety Thinning hair / Hair Loss Soft / Weak Erection Premature Ejaculation Eye floaters or fuzzy vision Groin / Testicular Pain Pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone If above symptoms are experienced, you need to restore the balance of brain's acetylcholine / parasympathetic ratio, reduces the level of sex hormones in the body, and sedates sympathetic nervous function, or the symptoms would become worse. One other thing. If done one to two times every 2 weeks you can reduce your chances of having a stroke. |

Quoting: Jimb0 There's a difference between allowing your body to regulate itself, rather than forcing the issue. Imagine if we could invent a pill which signaled to the body that we'd enjoyed a full 8 hrs sleep, would that be desirable, healthy? |

The OP is right. It does drain you and it is and addictive drug, so every man should refrain from it as much as possible. |
