CARTOON CRISIS: AFGHAN ANGER UNABATED

Karachi, 7 Feb. (AKI) - (Syed Saleem Shahzad) - Afghanistan has been hit by the third straight day of violent demonstrations against Danish cartoons satirising the Prophet Mohammed. One person has been reported killed on Tuesday as rioters clashed with NATO peacekeeping troops in Western Afghanistan, while on Monday, at least four people died in clashes between protestors and police. A leading Afghan MP has told Adnkronos International (AKI) that while Muslims around the world are expressing their anger, often violently, the situation in already volatile Afghanistan is a tinderbox.
"The whole Afghan nation is reacting angrily to the publication of blasphemic material in the European publication," said Sibghatullah Zaki, the newly elected member of Afghan parliament from Takhar province. "It creates suspicion in the mind of the common Afghan as to whether the West is serious in its anti-terror campaign as this sort of blasphemy would only promote terrorism,” he told AKI, underlining the delicacy of the situation on the ground.

In a telephone interview from Kabul, Zaki, an ethnic Uzbek and also a key figure in liberal nationalist party, Jumbish-i-Milli Afghanistan led by General Abdul Rasheed Dostum, said that publication of such cartoons badly hurt the feelings of the Afghan people.

"There are 1.4 billion Muslims in the world. The majority of them condemn terrorism. There are few who believe in terror tactics. However the publication of such caricatures shows that the West considers the whole Muslim lot as terrorists,” Zaki maintained.

The cartoons, first published in a Danish daily in September and then republished by a Norwegian paper in January, caused outrage among Muslims, who consider any images of the Prophet Muhammad offensive. One of them shows Mohammed wearing a bomb-shaped turban.

"This situation will have a direct impact on Afghanistan’s socio-political situation," Zaki added. "There are already riots from North to South. In my province of Takhar, people attacked the offices of the governor and the mayor and ransacked everything. There was a huge demonstration and riots in Laghman. This indicates the direction in which a common Afghan thinks," Sibghatullah Zaki said.

On Monday thousands of demonstrators took to the streets from the Northern Takhar province to southern Kandahar in fierce protests. The Afghan security forces opened fire on demonstrators on Monday and at least five people were killed.

According to a local government chief, Kabir Ahmed, the violence outside Bagram, where the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan is located, was some of the worse in the country, with the Afghan police firing on some 2,000 protesters as they tried to break into the heavily-guarded facility.

Two demonstrators were reportedly killed and five were injured, while eight police also were hurt, he said. No U.S. troops were involved in the clashes, according to military sources.

Afghan police also fired on protesters in the central city of Mihtarlam after a man in the crowd shot at them and others threw stones and knives. At least two protesters are believed to have been killed, and three other people were wounded, including two police, officials said. The demonstrators burned tires and threw stones at government offices.

Provocation, pure and simple. If these cartoons don't trigger it they'll just publish photos of anglo women drying their nude bodies with pages torn from the Q'uran. Their freaking plan is working. God save us.

if i was any good with computers, i would try and put some photographs on this website of me wiping my backside with the Koran.

If the stone age cavemen think those Danish cartoons were offensive, they should see that Dutch "Fotofuck" website that someone on here had a link to a few days ago.

Re: ALRT - rioters clashed with NATO peacekeeping troops
The New World Order will use any religion or politic to spread chaos. Once the chaos has spread, they will set up police states which will clamp down on all groups to secure order. The Muslims are the most volatile group, easily provoked, so they will be used as a catalyst, so that once they have been made a example of, the other groups will then toe the line. It does not matter if only a small minority are causing the chaos, the point is that all will suffer the consequences regardless if they were involved in violence or not.

Not only will the Muslims be targeted, but all who try to demonstrate peaceful or other wise will be tared with the same brush. The world leaders were pissed that every time they got together to recruit new globalists in their economic forums/globalization meetings, protesters would show up in their faces. Now they have the power to use the police state legally to meet in peace. Terrorism has been used to protect their agenda, to ramp up security and basically demonise anyone who stands against the system. This psyop is now dehumanizing the Arab nations, so that future wars for the spread of globalization in the M.E region will not attract large peace protests.
