Maybe locking the mentally ill in institutions forever wasn't such a bad idea...?
Before the the 1970's the mentally ill were put away in institutions for their entire lives. This was put into place to prevent such things as the Sandy Hook atrocity. It all came to a head when Geraldo Rivera exposed the Willow Brook facility in the early 70's. Granted, the treatment of those poor people was deplorable but that was a different era. We need to resurrect this idea and get these NUTS off the streets and away from out families....anybody with me?

Actually, a humane society would euthanize them.

This is true but baby steps first...I guess this idea makes us no different from the Nazi's...while I don't agree with most of their policies they were amazing organizers.

Maybe not sending attack squads into schools and having them kill everybody and then blaming it on a pussyfaced aspie is also not such a bad idea?

Many become violent BECAUSE of the drugs. Safe withdrawal programs and nutrition therapy with counselling is required.

Institutions can to be nice places, where the mentally ill can lead productive lives. Dorethia Dix had great ideas-

Drugs were supposed to allow everyone to return to the community. That has not worked out.

Institutions or psych wards are places where extremely high level of toxic drugs are Forced on you! These drugs mess up your brain chemistry, and if taken as prescribed, can ruin your life. Many of these drugs commonly cause unbearable side effects, mental deterioration and violence.

I was thinking more of Dorothea Dix State Hospital prior to the advent of current psych drugs. They used mostly bromides and herbal concoctions back then. Lots of outdoor work (which even calms Charles Manson down, you may wish look into the garden program for prisoners he is in now)

The stinking liberals changed EVERYTHING in America
for the worst, in the past fifty years.

In America criminals USED to be treated APPROPRIATELY.
The criminally insane were NOT mollycoddled.

Bring back the chain gang and HARD LABOR for criminals.
NO TVs, NO Recreation centers.
Make prisons more like hell on earth.
Make them rue the day they ever shot someone, or stole
something, or mugged someone.

The severely mentally ill are EVERYWHERE now,
ON THE STREETS of every town in America.
They are in the schools, and everyone knows who they
are, but nobody does anything about it,
until they go off the rails.

Our bleeding heart liberal permissive society
has spawned this insane asylum we call America.

In my humble Opinion you cant lock away ca. 75 Million US-Americans, this is the amount of Patients who take
Psychotropic/ Psychotherapeutic Drugs!

1 of 5 People, like your Brother, Sister, Mother, Father
or Grandparents!

The Way to go is to reduce the impact of bad and nasty Stuff
in our Food, the Diet is important and the Key for a better Health!

For example; Bread and Milk-products!

Violent mentally ill people need to be removed from society. Right now we wait until they kill someone, and then stick them in jail. A managed care facility would be more humane for all.

BUT NOT ALL MENTALLY ILL ARE VIOLENT!!!!!!!! Most americans can be labeled with something, from seasonal depression to ADHD. Just being different is not a crime and should never be.
