Threats cause lockdown at Red Wing, Minnesota schools: "Your school is next." Bullets found on bus!
According to the Red Wing Police Department, a female senior at Tower View received a call Tuesday night from an unknown person who told her, "Your school is next." The girl responded with "Hello" and the person repeated the threat, "Your school is next."

The phone number did not show up on the girl's caller ID, but Police Chief Roger Pohlman said he is working with the county attorney to obtain a subpoena for the phone records to see if they will help with the investigation.

Update 11:15 a.m.: Red Wing schools remain on lockdown
All Red Wing schools are on lockdown today after a Tower View Alternative Learning Center student reported receiving a threatening call that alluded to a potential shooting at the school.

...

11 a.m. update:

In addition to the telephone threat, there were suspicious items found on a bus. That issue has been resolved satisfactorily, school officials said in an email alert at 11 a.m.

"Students were not in danger at any time as a result of those items," Anderson wrote.

11:15 a.m. update:

A press release issued by the Red Wing Police Department just after 11 a.m. reported that the suspicious items found on the bus were bullets.

A student came forward just after the lockdown began this morning and said that the .22LR rounds were his and that they were forgotten in his jacket after he had been coyote hunting, "thereby confirming that the bus activity is unrelated to the general threat," the release said.

Investigation into the threat is continuing.
