Many of my book club and youth library volunteers are noticing more and more children wear glasses. It's very uncomfortable to see so many children who didn't have trouble prior now having difficulty with eyesight? I was always raised not to wear glasses if you don't need them because glasses could end up harming your eyesight (again if not needed) I'm curious what others think about this growing trend? |

What happens is when you look at your fist, that image is clear but whataver else far away is blurred and when you focus on the canvas which is gar away, that image is clear but the fist is blurred. That means the crystaline or natural glasses of your eyes are adapting and you're forcing them to expand and contract, they are doing "exercises". Also when you have to read something with nano-size letters, it's better using magnified glasses to increase the size of the letters on the paper .... than wearing glasses which obviously are closer to your eyes. Glasses are actually doing your eyes'job and that's why after a time you need more powerful glasses because your eyes GOT WORST. Try to adapt your eyes watching in the darkness at night at least 20 minutes. Drink natural juices without sugar. Spin your eyes fast in one direction and then opposite way. |

Eyes get too dry without blinking and just staring one point rather than moving them. Your eyes need to rest as well, so after 20 minutes in front of your desktop, S T O P. |

This exercise and gluing a message DON'T FORGET TO BLINK in the computer and drink natural juices (carrots, oranges, strawberries, things rich in betacarotene) are my methods and I am not O.P. They work, I am old, have a good vision and never wore glasses. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30617504 It's gonna get worst with these mobile phones and microscopic letters, demanding too much effort for the eyes and people being addicted to that. Whole generation of blind people who are maybe losing 3D vision before getting blind. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1310760 United States 12/03/2014 07:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I stopped wearing glasses and contacts 2 and 1/2 years ago to try to improve my eyes, thinking my body will naturally heal. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21362482 I bought pinhole glasses which help me see 20/20 or near that, but only when I wear them, and they only work in daylight well. They're cheaper than glasses and contacts so they're well worth it! I thought maybe they'd help improve my vision but when I take them off it's still the same blurryness. I also tried palming regularly, even palmed my eyes once for 5-10 hours and did that over 2 days, but thay didn't work either. I'll look into eye exercises now. left right left right left right left right |
