A lot of obama's liberal crew send their kids to the Sidwell Friends School, as the public schools in D.C. are way too dangerous. Not from outsiders but from the students.

The president speaking in Newtown after the shooting vowed to not let Congress' unwillingness to deal with this issue stop him. He insinuated he's going to bypass Congress and use his "power."

Congress can override this executive order, but they won't. They'll get what they want and pin the blame on Obama. The Supreme Court won't deem this unconstitutional, and no one will blink an eye as they serve their lifetime terms.

When the next Adam Lanza decides to pass up the school in favor of your home and family, tell me what type of weapon you think would be appropriate. I wonder how many assault rifles entered that school to neutralize the threat.

FBI statistics readily available on their website at fbi.gov indicate a 49% reduction in violent crime in the US since 1991 despite skyrocketing increases in civilian gun ownership and concealed carry. Yet, there is no mention of this on the news and it is not included in the argument. So, I suggest that while you accuse others of the inability to understand simple logic, you are without any knowledge of facts beyond what the talking heads tell you. You have to understand the point of the 2nd Amendment. It was created in case the government got out of control so the people could defend themselves. Everyone argues "well that was in a time when people used muskets". Ya well guess what, the government today has the most advanced weaponry at its disposal. So if a citizen wants to feel safe with an AR-15 then I have no problem with that.

People ask, well what do you need a semi-automatic or automatic rifle for? Well what if 3 armed burglars come in your house? You shoot 1 with your handgun...guess what you get blown away by the other 2.

It's been proven time and time again and even the FBI studies have confirmed it. You have way more crime in more gun controlled areas then you do in areas where there is less gun control.

Australia proved that point when they forced everyone to turn in their firearms. Burglaries, rapes and general crime all went up? Why? Because the bad guys always get guns and they knew the responsible citizens wouldn't be armed.
