The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Word of God. In the begining was the Word John 1:1 And what did the Word of God do in the begining? God said let there be light. John 1:1 and Genesis 1 are talking about the same begining. For there is only one begining. The Word became flesh. Jesus is God expressing himself to us. That is why the bible tells us that all things were created through Jesus, the Word of God.

Jesus dying on the cross is the foundation of Christianity and the only way were even forgiven .
