Netflix online for PC is also down in NYC. I haven't checked Amazon for PC.

I'm in North Carolina and have had Pandora up for the last 2 hours (trying to drown out my snoring hubby while I play pogo.com LOL). I just tried Neflix after reading your post. It took about 5 seconds, but the site loaded just fine.

Edited: Amazon works also. FYI - all on my PC/laptop. AT&T DSL.

Perhaps there is just a node or two down in the NYC area. *shrugs*

The Netflix site will load and the catalog cover art is displayed, but you can;t stream any movies here in NYC and I presume elsewhere still.

Check the link in the original post - There's been a problem since early yesterday afternoon when it started affecting the west coast - it affected NYC sometime after 7pm.

Ah, I don't have streaming at Netflix, so I couldn't check that.

Hmmmmm. Other than the other day when most experienced a problem with Craigslist for a short time, we haven't experienced any internet problems: Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, Twitter, Facebook, etc etc.

Weird.

Hope it is nothing too serious.

1st world problem.

No Netflix here either. It was working late afternoon.

Re: Another Holiday & another Roku/Netflix/Amazon/Pandora Network Crash
Was just on amazon reading the forums and some of the posts.
Seems to be widespread....

Some of the posts......

Scrooge! I gave a years subscription to Netfix for a gift and it's not working. I hope this isn't intentional on Amazon's part. Is anyone else having a problem?

I cannot connect either. I bet they are having a problem.

this is weird--because also, no itune gift cards can be activated in Austin, TX tonight--and the stores are unable to sell them........a very strange thing indeed....

Netflix is having problems unrelated to Amazon. I've been watching on-and-off all day and have had to deal with slow loading or getting kicked off of my show. So they are not out to Scrooge anybody. I suspect they have a higher volume of viewers today.

They are down here in Calif too

I just finished the final season of The IT Crowd and had to do plenty of F5s to get each episode to load. I imagine they're having lots more traffic than usual, but think of all the holiday domestic violence they're helping avert.
