Commander of SEAL Team 4 dead in Afghanistan - What is killing our soldiers?
Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan – The commander of Virginia Beach-based SEAL Team 4 died Saturday of a gunshot wound to the head. The death of CDR Job W. Price (42) is still under investigation but it appears to be a suicide.

So, something to ponder, as more and more highly-trained and motivated soldiers kill themselves during or after serving in these far-flung lands:

One of the consequences of spiritual oppression and possession is depression and suicide. What if our troops, with all of their high-tech gear and materiel support are falling prey to a danger for which they are totally unprepared?

I'll just state a thesis - without the background, to get the discussion going: There are spiritual entities sharing hte Earth with us - they have been with us since time immemorial... Some of these entities are tied to the land, and are considered to be "elemental" type spirits. They have various names depending on hte culture in hte area, but their behavior is consistently malign and anti-human.

The entites in the part of the world we are talking about are generally called the djinn. There is a long history of their interaction with the locals, and they predate Islam by thousands of years. Despite the pervasive influence of Islam local folk still are mindful of the djinn, and are careful not to anger or even draw their attention...

So, we arrive in the area and go about our normal pseudo-scientific and materialistic way of dealing with people and nature... Naturally this runs afoul of the local spirits and they, quite naturally, respond in their natural manner.

We've had a huge surge in non-combat deaths, since we first arrived in force in the region. I don't know how a nation that eschews God and all things spiritual can respond - but I ask you to consider what individuals might be able to do to be prepared for the spiritual warfare as they are sent into that region...

Alot of snipers are taken out after high value targets are tapped. Do Code Reds still happen in Gitmo? There is a major break in the chain of command. I mean, most are compelled of the Code and the Oath, try and remove the core values and...silence.

Suicide runs rampant in Combat zones. It's always been a problem for centuries.

I have been deployed to 6 combat zones and each time there are dozens of suicides.

Whats worse is the amount of suicides after redeployment back to the States.

9 times out of 10, the suicides are "Wife divorcing Husband".....(Jody got your girl and gone"....

While stationed in Bosnia, I had one soldier blow his brains out 4 feet from me. He was arguing with his wife on the phone and then I heard a pause....click, Pow.....

While he was in a death wiggle, I got his wife's name and number and told her we would call her back.

*Honestly, Mail and Phones calls should be banned in combat Zones. I have seen so many "go over the edge" via "Dear John"...letters

Sorry, Opie, I had just read your title and not dug into the substance. And interesting read, if you can still find it: remember, Neil Kashkari? What division did he lead in Babylon? Remember, how many were turned into mummies? Indeed, the weapons have changed; to those whom have meet their Creator, the move now of the fight is in the spiritual. So put on the armour of Light: The helm of Salvation, the Sword of the Spirit, the brestplate of righteousness, the buckler of Truth, feet shod with the Gospel of Peace, and the shield of Faith wherewith you will be Able to stop all the firy darts of the evil one.

Biscuits & Gravy... Thanks for your service and your comment.

Wherever we go we are intruders into the spiritual landscape. Some places are worse than others for that kind of thing. But it does follow you home. Suicide is the single most significant killer of our troops... It affects the entire family - which is fragile enough without any help. Been there - in non-combat times. Deployments were always hell. You're right phone calls should probably not be allowed - I've seen folk go off after them - and letters. It's the expectation. I remember a couple of times when the only thing worse than not getting a letter was getting one.

The world is divided into sections and each one has a heirarchy of demonic entities assigned to it. We can see their influence in the type of activity that predominates the area. Every culture prior to ours has recognized this reality and tried to work within that system - for better or worse... But to intrude where you have no clan or cultural affiliation is always a problem.

that is very sad, and i would imagine the fact that wars today never end and there is never any such thing as victory? how depressing it must be to know that we possess the weaponry to wipe out the enemy and instead you are ordered to play nice with the savage?

it must be horrible to watch friend after friend die knowing that their deaths were avoidable if only our politcians fought wars to win and end them. it is depressing back home knowing we are sacrificing our future generations and for what?

I cant imagine a Seal killing himself, unless he realizes the evil that is in our government, maybe realizing that they are just protecting poppy plants... but sounds a little fishy.

More Vietnam vets died from suicide after the war than in the war.
