He's in dog heaven now, running around in the sparkly fields, young and vital again. Quoting: Miss Malla Weird, I keep seing a yellowish furred labrador kinda dog. Doesn't have to be your dog though. Bless the good memories He was a small mostly black with white terrier. But mayhaps it is a labador dog that cricket is playing with right now. Aww ty... or maybe he always wanted to be a big strong yellow lab :P Anyways. My son has a small Shih Tzu. A weird little dog really, always wanted it his way, and got it, his way. pretty much like my son ha ha. Always faithful to my son, sleeps beside his bed at night. A couple of months ago, someone on my FB list wanted to give away their dog, a little white Cotton tulear, already a year old. They claimed he was not to be trained because he was too stubborn - and he would bite. Guess who is my little angel now. Yes he is, kind and faithful and he follows me everywhere, obeys my commands and sleeps beside MY bed at nigh. I felt it deep within my heart when I looked at the picture of him on FB, this one was to be my best friend. I hope you get another little dog soon OP. There's really nothing better than a furry best friend. |

That's not a syndrome, that's just old age. Sorry for your loss. If you get another dog, I suggest you get a vet that doesn't blow smoke up your ass. Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. Quoting: Mad Pole He was sick the past few days, which the vet diagnosed as old dog symdrom. I was spending up the nights with him, tending to him. I had checked on him around 6:00 am, he was fine, i looked at him from my chair around 6:10 and he was passed. I am so sad, but I do find resolve thinking about him running around heaven with other souls. And yes, I believe there are animals in heaven. I loved you cricket. Sorry for your loss. We had a similar experience in October when suddenly in less than 8 hrs time our 8.5 year old Collie became sick and we had to have her put to sleep. Suggestion, when you are ready get another puppy as quick as possible. We found Buff our new Collie on www.puppyfind.com after about 2 weeks. While Buff will never be able to replace Daisey he has helped a great deal. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 5161670 Netherlands 12/28/2012 10:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm so sorry, OP. But 17 is a good age and he spent it with you, so he had 17 years of love and devotion from you and giving it back. Some aren't so lucky. The Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... |
