WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Rep. John Boehner, an Ohio Republican, was re-elected speaker of the House of Representatives on Thursday, ending speculation that he would be replaced. Boehner over the past several weeks has seen Republicans defect over his "Plan B" tax bill; endured conservatives' anger over his offering to raise revenue in talks with President Barack Obama; and most recently been the subject of scorn from GOP members angry about his decision to delay a vote on Hurricane Sandy aid.
