This individual life is meaningless. There's something before and something after.

It certainly isn't Life itself, the Earth itself or each other. All of those can bend at someone's will over time.

You can go from loving life for whatever reasons to hating life.
You can go from loving the earth to hating all the miscreants on it.
You can go from loving a parent to utterly hating them.

So ... it's not the cause or the sum of it's parts. What keeps us here?


PS: Also, if you believe we only have one birth and one life, how many bazillion souls are there and do you think that by numbers alone there can never be two of the same people? Also, if you believe in one birth and life do you believe that we have in ourselves the miracle of life, that the sperm and egg alone by themselves create life ... that there is no sort of magic or anything that creates that life out of nothing. No "programmer" of sorts.
