Lawsuit seeks removal of Pennsylvania school's Ten Commandments

he Freedom from Religion Foundation filed a lawsuit in Pittsburgh on Friday over the display outside Valley High School in New Kensington.
The Madison, Wis.-based foundation says the marker serves to advance religion and the tenets of a particular faith.


These Violent Gun Crimes are being committed by people that have not been exposed and taught..

Most people under 25 today do not know any of these Commandments.

I don't remember if anyone taught me. I don't remember my mom telling me not to kill anyone. I believe in God but I'm a religious person. Strange thing is that I feel bad when I have to kill insects. It's unbelievable how some people can take another human life without caring too much.

I just remember as a child that I learned of GOD and the Ten Commandments and realized what right from wrong meant, even though I fell to wrong as a kid many times...LOL...

Parents.

... and it's "murder". "Thou shalt not murder." There is a difference.

Was it changed so armies can kill other people and still go to heaven? Murder is just a legal word.

Thou shalt not commit murder, and I read it in the Bible.

There is also a lot of information about killing for self
defense, for food, etc.

In my opinion, that's a false question as what is important is to know if there can be any situations in live in which one would be forced to defend yourself, even to kill some other one, and what one would do in that particular type of situation.

I am talking about many of these School shootings being committed by today's youth...

Where are they learning the morality of preserving and protecting life?


They do not learn the Ten Commandments

They learn that killing of the un-born legal abortion is A-Okay


They learn violence and death from

Video Games
Music and Movies....


Yet the schools still want to ban kids from learning the Ten Commandments....

Most people will use the KJV, which uses 'kill'. Just saying.

I was taught to defend myself no matter the cost from all the above.

Everyone has a dark part of potential violence inside.
The moral background in which I was growed to become a young man has been substancial enough to defend myself against the soul pollution that create some particular types of movies, music and video games.
When the moral background fails, the fence of the soul is destroyed and mental insanities can take place and even been committed : every simple situation leads to violence and that violence is then released.
In my case, that morality cames from my parents, my grandparents and some of my teachers.
I believe that even without talking religiously, that morality can be substancial enough.

As humans, we have an inherent knowledge of the difference between right and wrong. Stop prosthelytizing your little infinitesimal small knowledge of God.

Common human decency?

As a whole, most people know that murdering another person is bad.
Don't forget about all of the people who have killed in the name of your god. The ten commandments didn't stop them.

14-Year-Old Florida Teen Hides Pregnancy, Gives Birth In Bathroom, Then Strangles Baby To Death


A Polk County girl is facing capital murder charges this week after deputies say she strangled her newborn to death shortly after delivering him in her bathroom toilet, officials said. The 14-year-old tried to conceal her pregnancy from beginning to end. She wore loose-fitting clothing, manipulated pregnancy tests and finally, delivered a baby in secret at her home. Three days later, the girl’s mother smelled something foul in her daughter’s bedroom and found the full-term infant dead in a shoe box among a pile of dirty and discarded laundry items..

Boys try to carjack, rob woman with gun

Police arrested two boys who tried to carjack a truck with a gun in Southeast Portland on Saturday.

The boys are 7 and 11 years old. They were both placed in the custody of their parents because they are too young to be jailed, even in a juvenile facility.

According to police, at 12:15 p.m. on Dec. 8, East Precinct officers responded to 16000 Southeast Alder Street on the report of an 11-year-old boy seeing another 11-year-old boy with a loaded handgun. When the officers arrived in the area, they contacted two boys, ages 7 and 11. As the officers approached, the 11-year-old told the 7-year-old to run. They were both were stopped on the South side of the Freedom Foursquare Church, however.

The officers told the 11-year-old to keep his hands out of his pockets, but he ignored the officers and tried putting his hand back in his pocket. Officers grabbed his arms and recovered a cocked and loaded .22 caliber handgun in his pocket.

The 11-year-old was not handcuffed but was placed into the back of a police car and the 7-year-old sat down on the ground.

Rise of the violent 'Little Emperors': Children lashing out at parents to get own way




Children are becoming increasingly violent towards their parents when they do not get their own way, a leading psychologist has warned.
The ‘little emperors’ of this ‘spoilt generation’ lash out both at home – particularly at mothers who stand in their way – and school or even nursery.
Experts have blamed the decline in respect for authority on a lack of clear parental boundaries and rules, as well as an emphasis on children’s rights.
The problem is getting worse and spans the class divide, according to Dr Aric Sigman, a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
