Four hundred people so far have signed up to hunt these burmese pythons in the Everglades. Over-population of these creatures is wrecking havoc on the ecosystem in place there. So as a counter measure, they are inviting people to come and hunt these pythons and giving people an online training course before they hunt. The article goes on to say that people from 17 states have signed up to hunt. The event starts Saturday, but I didn't see the date that this meant? This article was puplished on 11th of January, so that possible means it started today. Here is the article: [link to www.weather.com] I don't know about this, I will try to follow this story though, and I am hoping that no one gets hurt from the natural venomous predators as well as the pythons during this month long hunt. I would... but I fucking hate Fla. Quoting: Waterbug LOL....I used to love to go to Florida on vacation. My grandparents lived there when I was a young girl. I remember my grammy welcoming us at the door as we got out of the car and there was a snake on the cemented sidewalk up to the door. I will never ever forget that moment. Then another time we had gone to Florida when I was a kid, we went to some swampy park attraction, maybe it was the Everglades?? Anyway there were wooden walkways through the natural habitat and I fell into the waist high water(remember I was little..probably 6 years old.) I will never forget the lashing my mom gave me for falling into the water..yelling at first before my dad got me out. I hated Florida for a long time, until I went a few times later in my adulthood and I admired and still do the beautiful landscape and the beaches.
