and at the end of your life what do you have to show that your life wasn't completely meaningless?

Re: Not enough free time to do anything in todays society
Some companies are getting rid of corporate email systems in house and their instant messaging counterparts! Employees are living with their Blackberrys or iPhones and are working 20 plus hours per day with no time for themselves. Instead of making them more productive, the constant need to respond/read emails and incoming info on the IM systems has resulted in productivity going down substantially and employees leaving (high level employees who are costly to replace) for calmer, less intrusive work environments. Upper levels are no willing to be interrupted 20 times a day, and then go home and receive emails, comments and constant intruding into their private time at home.

I am messing around on GLP instead of working on my first week assignments for my final semester. I've been cleaning house and playing with my son during the day...I should be going to bed.

Why are most people fine with this? wtf?

And with the average salary to time spent working isn't even close to being worth the returns.

Let's just see how many hours of the day an average person gives up, not just the work hours but the hours leading up to and after from the moment of waking up to sleep.

work 9-5 mon-fri
get up at 7am, get ready, get stuck in traffic
get home 6-7pm
shower, food, shit, check news, small talk with family (these small things add up real fast)
sleep 8 hours average, 11pm leaves you with 4 hours free time out of 24, which hardly even counts if you include things mentioned above and if you have OCD forget about free time completely.

this is a slavery routine and yet most people are ok with it, wow.

Unless you make more than $100,000 a year working is NOT worth it!

After the government steals a chunk of your paycheck, bills, rent, power, water, internet, shopping then before you know it you've got fuck all money left except to get drunk on the weekend which is what most people end up doing. Rinse and repeat next week.

I live within my means and don't want or need the latest new gadget, computer, car, clothing etc. I am blessed that I able to stay home and raise my children and spend that precious time at home with them. I think if you live simple and invest most your time in the people in your life who you love, that is what matters most. So when you do come home from work then make sure you are really present.

but freedom is the greatest work of all.

to become free is to suddenly be faced with the horrible responsibility of having to decide each and every one of your steps. Nothing feels so crushingly oppressive than to realize that you're fully responsible for yourself.

people may be enslaved by their obligations forced upon them by society, but as a result they are freed from being responsible for themselves as individuals. What can I say? It's a good deal for some.

Sometimes I think about going into the 1000 acres behind our house in the woods at night with my MP22 and hunt the coyotes that howl not too far beyond our bedroom window. Carry an open sack full of bacon... It's close to 10* right now, but I just bought a sweet ass all-weather jacket... Talk about an adrenaline rush.

I once had a job I enjoyed and I made enough to get by.
I was the only employee for most of the five years I worked there.
I was at the top employee position in the company and still people looked down on me for not being more motivated to succeed. Peoples viewpoints on life and work ethics and whats important is skewed.

Try reading "Endgame: The Problem of Civilization" by Derrick Jensen. "Possum Living" too. Check into subjects like Capitalism and the Protestant work ethic. Just a new form of bondage brought over from Europe. Look to the holy scriptures and see who started cities and the beginning of governments.

That's the plan, man! Give em no time to think about anything important. No time to develop spiritually. We can't have that! We must keep them in survival mode and in constant fear! Blech.

...sadly, this is spot on, and sadder still...most people will never get to this realization. Because until this realization dawns on them, most people will not fathom that they have the option to change the course of their lives...on purpose.

So do you have a solution for this or are you just complaining?
Feed the hungry, visit the sick, free a captive if he be unjustly confined(kidnapped/enslaved by someone). Assist any person oppressed, whether they're of the Muslim or non-Muslim. - Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam)

I wish it were different but there are the cards that we're dealt. It's a beautiful world full of abundance. I know it's trite but we are here for a grand reason. I believe we chose this. We chose our parents. We were born at the perfect time in the perfect place to meet everyone we've come in contact with to evolve.

I like to think that anyhow. It would be horrible if it were all random and we're born again and again in an endless cycle to be fodder for extra-dimensional beings.

Agreed 100%.

When people were forced to work full time 5 or 6 days a week for a decent pay check it was outreageous and you never have time to do anything.

Damn. I feel privileged having on average 17 hrs ( 11 if you take 6 hrs sleep into account) a day free time. Though I have done the hard years already and yeah it sucked at the time.

I got all the time i want but no money in the pocket, so what you get on one side you lose it on the other, but it's good to be out of the matrix, to have plenty of time to walk, to contemplate the sky and the land, to see how people are lost and braindead, to be like an eagle that oversees the land of the slaves, to feel God's presence and witness his signs, finally good times to prepare for the coming global madness, yet i received an email, we're pleased to inform you that we enjoyed your profile but you're not enough of a good slave for the job...lol! life goes on.

Re: Not enough free time to do anything in todays society
The members of the Old World Order prefer the Pleasure Principle society because this offers the best mechanism for manipulating the dumbed down, doped out, zombified masses. The Old World Order's greed can be indulged without restraint in such a society. Their ability to justify huge disparities in wealth is unchallenged. Wealth is control in id societies. If you have no wealth then you are a nobody with no future. Most people are nobodies with no future, but they have been conned into supporting the system that oppresses them.

The new American president will change nothing since change can be effected only from without the system, never from within. It's the system itself that is at fault, and the system - the constitution - does not provide any scope for internal change. So change must come from an external source. Usually, from revolution.

But...that is entirely up to YOU...

Is-int it?

Re: Not enough free time to do anything in todays society
I would say most of us have became landless peasants, without land you're a slave, TPTB have suceeded to unplug the human from the biosphere, you live in a box dependant of the local bank and the nearest supermarket, few of us have actually land ownership, many of these land owners have also lost the connections with the biosphere, they do not have the basic idea to garden for food, you see lovely flowers and such but few do produce potatoes, vegetables..., most of the time i see only elders's yards garnished with tomatoes plants, letuces ect...the split is obvious, once the elders will be dead, most of the younger generations will definitely lose it, i talk about what i see here an pieces of the outside world i can see through the interwebz and such.

Greed or the necessity to overcome bad economics even makes some landowners to sell off their land, for wortless paper money or to fade out the down slide to a lower 'class'.

The brains are subverted and will fight to keep the shit hitting the fan, not the opposite, to believe people will wake up and turnaround for the real deal is an illusion, we will go deeper and deeper, it's too late now, therefore setup yourself to dodge bullets and rain drops.
