Where Are Happy Marriages to Be Found If Not on Earth or in Heaven?

Honestly when I look at the divorce rate (1 out of 2) and then read stories from "unhappily married" forums I think that God purposely designed marriage to be hell on earth as some sort of training ground for patience and endurance. Everyone thinks that when Jesus said, "They neither marry nor are given in marriage" that automatically rules out any sort of romance in heaven. So 99.99% of the unlucky Christians in bad marriages are doomed to never experience true romance here or in the afterlife. I know we shouldn't expect happiness here on earth in this department since it detracts from our real purpose which is serving God and our real destination which is heaven, but for crying out loud--God instilled these desires for romance inside us; they are such a vital part of our psyche; lives, emotions, our waking thoughts. Did He put the desire in us just to torture us with no hope here or beyond? It seems we should get to experience it at least a little, if not here on earth, then in the next world. Does anybody else feel this way?
