They should promote natural cures, because the body does know what it's doing, and will, in most cases, remain or become healthy if you provide it with the right fuel.

That is not always the case, and doctors and hospitals have their place. But their focus is generally in the direction of pills with horrible side effects, and not on what works best.

The information is out there - it's not a secret that, in order to get and stay healthy, you have to eat right, exercise, get enough sleep, etc. Why do doctors and hospitals not push THAT information more than pills down someone's throat?

Same reason that doctors work in the sickness industry rather than the wellness industry I guess!

We dont need those medicines...

Its the society we live in and the food that we eat that gives us these diseases.

But yeah,,,they dont want a 100% efficient medicine, thats pretty obvious.

Checking my FB of late - I know I shouldn't have one and what a sheep I am - I keep seeing the same thing ... I got the flu shot and now I have the flu.

Crazy they don't explore the relation between the "flu shot" and getting sick.

Mayhaps if they called it the anti-flu shot I might sign up, but as it is - it's a "flu shot"!! Who wants the flu??? I didn't get the shot! And look, healthy and happy

This is so obvious that most people miss it.

The people who would read your original post and accuse you of being jaded or a cynic or a jerk are one of either two things, imntbho:

1. Oblivious to the amount of shrift, grand expenditures and nepotism that occurs with these billion dollar non-profits. There is an entire brigade of Executive Directors and Board members, Regional Managers, Presidents and Vice-Presidents of________ in major non-profits such as the Cancer Society which take in 6 figure salaries, top of the line medical-dental-vision benefits (and for family), annual awards ceremonies, annual vacations/board meetings, stipend, travel allowance (first class, 5 star accommodations, meal reimbursements), fancy office furnishings in fancy offices with fancy addresses, sharp wardrobe, life insurance policies, as well as company credit card, and pension, all on top of tax exempt status.

2. An employee of a similar non-profit, enjoying the manifold benefits listed above.



Remember that 12/12 concert where Bruce Springsteen, U2, etc. all came out to raise money for "Victims of Hurricane Sandy"...?
Well, $100s of millions of dollars were raised!

But, the people whose houses were destroyed, are wondering where the relief money is...STILL!

However, I do agree the general thrust of your post. But think about it, why stop at managing health (or should I more accurately say make people think you are managing their "health"). Why not actually make them sicker, so you can make even more money! You do know hospitals kill more people than they cure, right?
