Well, I think it might have been a poke at team 5 actually. Not sure about the Skull & Bones stuff you mentioned. But I noticed that the story that pushed the gun control stuff off the front page (by design probably), the Te'o football scandal... his number was 5 too. No reason to bring that scandal out this afternoon other than to steer attention after from the 23 EO's. Revelations in the Te'o story revealed today were known to the people who broke the story long before today.

And, the supposed "revelations" about Te'o and this girlfriend turned out to probably be bogus anyway and fabricated by Deadspin.com, so just bogus all around. Notre Dame's AD stood up for Te'o and said as much. Didn't stop the media from dragging him through the mud for much of the afternoon though.
