I threw out 2 lbs of fresh fish that had a chalky kind of taste. I took 2 or 3 bites and that was it. It smelled fine before and after cooking....but there was something definitely off. I think the feed they are using in these farms is whatever animals products and garbage they collect to tun into food pellets. Stay clear. Last Edited by Useless Cookie Eater on 01/18/2013 08:57 PM |

Actually the Japanese are concerned as well about their food supply more so than most westerners know or hear. Yes, this is true! The US-Americans, the Canadians, etc. really don:t know much, their max. allowed Radiation Level is 1.200 Bq (One Thousand and two Hundred), 12 Times as much as in Japan! In fact we could sell all the radiated Stuff from F:Shima Prefecture and the Alarm Bells would not even ring! Another Difference is that we have many independent Testing Center, to buy such a Spectrograph is not "that expensive" when you share the burden by 10-15 Families or even more! You can get used and freshly calibrated ones for ca. 10.000 - 12.500 USD! We know very well what we eat and where the Problem-Zones are, like this Fish for example. We don:t eat Groundfishes like this Type since 03/11 |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 32566500 United Kingdom 01/19/2013 01:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A fish contaminated with radiation levels more than 2,500 times the legal limit has been caught near Japan’s crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant [...] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32435068 (TEPCO) said caesium equivalent to 254,000 becquerels per kilogramme — or 2,540 times more than the government seafood limit — was detected in a “murasoi” fish [...] caught at a port inside the Fukushima plant, a TEPCO spokesman said. [...] Enformable: There are no current restrictions which prevent fish from coming and going freely in and out of the port, but TEPCO will make plans to install nets in the harbor mouth and outside the harbor in response to the latest findings.
