I *am* against internal consumption; I filter my water (Berkey+fluoride filters). On the topical application - toothpaste - I am torn. I went about a year and a half using Neem toothpaste and oil pulling. While the oil pulling repaired my gums, completely reversing the onset of gingivitis, but the teeth themselves became much more sensitive and prone to cavities. My diet was 100% natural, including morning juicings with superfoods (chlorella, spirulina, etc). As soon as I returned to fluoridated toothpaste, my teeth returned to hard, smooth, less carie prone. So I don't know... There must be a law that people can't lie. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7881256 ALSO i will not allow the dentist i visit today to spray my cavity pores with the flouride hardening solution that is somtimes used to prevent a cavity from spreading. pure idiocy. it does work temporarily especially if your bone calcium in the subject is as young as i am - 27. but then i would be supporting the poison. so fuck that Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7881256 On the topical application - toothpaste - I am torn. Xylitol is good and is in some toothpaste. Even some Tom's has Glyverin, read the ingredients carefully. Glycerin seals off the tooth and prevents remineralization. Xylitol helps build enamel. Oil Pulling is amazing. Mercury is a neurotoxin, and Flouride is in rat Poison. Look for the PDF file called "Good Teeth Birth to Death" by Dr. Gerard F. Judd. |

Quoting: Person445 What about brain cells? They constantly tell everyone that once you lose your brain cells they lack the ability to regrow. I've heard one guy say that it is possible to regenerate brains cells, but he was one of many. Brain cells absolutely CAN be regrow!!! Besides certain nutrients that help this process along, one of the best ways of getting new brain cell growth is to study, learn & apply yourself to new ways of thinking etc. The more challenging & difficult you find it, the more the brain growth. Once, when my daughter was studying, she said her brain felt sore, similar to how your muscles get sore after a work out. New brain growth is fastest when you are young - but can occur at any age. Use it or Lose it. |

So I don't know... I made a great mistake to listen to GLP tooth experts and stopped using fluoride toothpaste during a couple of years. My teeth started to decay pretty fast (brushed only with bicarbonate and salty water). I went to the dentist and she was totally mad about me when I said that I don't use fluoride toothpaste. She was just crazy! I'm a veggie and I don't eat sugar etc. but still there's too much acid in fruits so we have to use fluoride. According to test flouride hardens the tooth enamel by a chemical reaction swithing electrons and creating calcium-fluorite which is stronger then the original enamel. The problem is that you're NOT suppose to swallow ANYTHING of it! It's a balance thing, our teeth just can't resist the acids in normal food so we unfortunately have to keep the tooth enamel as hard as possible by high quality tooth paste, fluoride is both poisonous AND can keep your enamel in shape. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7881256 United States 01/24/2013 10:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ok so i went to the dentist. i had to get a moler drilled. also examined the xrays. i was taught how to read them. i had two cavities for sure. and one of them was deep and very close to the nerve. I decided to get it drilled. Doc says I prolly have about 3 months before the top moler. The doc is the best dentist i've had in my entire life. I've had some bade ones. My original dentist apparently ruined my bite through braces. I also have 4 repaired upper teeth on the front with heavy ceramic. Some how they are still alive even though the accident happened like 5 years ago. They are going strong and defying the odds. I didn't have a choice but to get that one moler drilled or get the rot into the root. My doc says my tmj, which is really really bad folks due to my ruined bite from the braces from the first bad doc, is ruining my teeth. He's right and i just realized it. My rediculous grinding in my sleep and my bad bite in combination/caused by the tmj is no bueno and has been grinding and causing tiny fractures inside the contact points of my teeth on one side of my mouth starting from the rear forward. So here's what I did TODAY to change my lifestyle although i've had good habits. I am changing the way i brush as prescribed. I picked up a soft brush and ditched the medium one. I still have natures gate but i'm going to cycle to a flouridated toothpast for a month and then go back to non flouridated to give the teeth a flouride shock to harden them. I have been brushing with bad technique. I showed the doc how i brush. i'm changing the frequency and method. I was going from back to front brushing the sides whiich have caused the sides of my teeth to wear away and expose lower levels of some rear teeth. So with the soft brush i'm going to brush one row of teeth at a time and brush at angles pointing the brush at a angle towards the gums and do a circular motion instead of horizontal movements. i never brushed like this before... duh i'm a idiot i've always flossed, but am going to floss more the harden my gums as they need to build resistance, especially between the teeth as i saw today and also i'm going to do this method that you guys posted [link to wellnessmama.com] using organic coconut oil |

I eat a 99% carnivorous diet and never have plaque or tartar or anything. I could go a few days without brushing and not even tell the difference (except maybe a little stinky breath). |

I wonder why. |
