It's weird cos this didn't happen last time. Can't do anything about it right now but I,m a little concerned water is dripping on some power outlets.

mr newman and our local council have a lot to answer for, did not need a genius to see this was gonna happen to these houses 5 years ago. I smell a class action suite coming up, they were warned and did nothing. Now ppl are going to lose they homes, so the state gov and local are either pro global warming/climate change or they have to make a stand and save what is left of our dear beach front homes. It's not like we in the direct line of surf, we are protected by fraser island ffs.

I'm at main beach. Winds are getting up now. This will escalate till the high tide.

I get a feeling this storm has quite a few more surprises for us all. especially if it the system moves offshore.

Hang in there .. stay safe.

rantWait for some fuckwit to tell you this is all normal cause you know this is the land of the great drought and flood. They ll try and tell you this is all normal.

They slap you with a new tax to fix the problem. Cause taxes fix everything dont ya know. The Money raised from the tax, what is it being spent on? you ask. One would guess development in renewable energy. So why is it that we are still reliant on coal power for our funcking electricity and still driving around in oil powered vehicles when the tech has been there for years just waiting to be developed.

But did you hear we found trillions of dollars worth of oil in Oz so I guess we dont want to spend all that money raised through carbon taxes on alternative energy research now would we. Cause that would make that oil not all that valuable anymore. You know what we deserve to die like rats because our mentality from the top echelon of society all the way to the bottom is fucked.
 Quoting: Ozi dude 32959057

It is normal, this is he second time I've been in a caravan park that's flooded.

Taxes repair infrastructure like the damaged rail lines from the 2011 floods. Governments need mone to pay for services like centrelink and education and health care. The renewable energy industry is miniscule.

The people in charge of Australia are probably the smartest people in Australia they know enough to fleece everyone so they must be smart whereas suckers like you pay tax. So they're smarter than you. As for the trillions of dollars worth of oil in SA that'll end up in BHP's hands...
I'd buy BHP shares if I had money.
