Leeches on the dole (WIC, EBT, TANF, medicaid, food stamps, HUD, et al) breed way to much. At least people in the military are getting off their asses and doing something and are actually earning their keep. Leeches who sit on their ass and suck off the dole need to stave in the street.

Agree - but so many get "benefits" they did not earn - the military earned these benefits.

First cut of those who don't work and get a free ride.

Medicaid along with WIC, food stamps, EBT, SNAP, TANF, pell grants, et fucking all needs to be cut OFF for all the fucking leeches before one red cent is cut from military benefits.

Re: OBAMA TO CUT HEALTHCARE BENEFITS FOR MILITARY
I have this insane idea that the whole "women on the front line" thing was simply to give them an excuse to reduce the number of military dependants by forcing all women in service to be on fertility destroying depo, all the time, because they might be called to the front.

You are supposed to be willing to give your life for the same benefits as any full time Walmart employee?

Re: OBAMA TO CUT HEALTHCARE BENEFITS FOR MILITARY
I think he left or is leaving, Obama talked him into staying for a while before that. This is all from memory though, can't remember his name. Also, now that I think about it this is different than what I was thinking of. What I was thinking of was Military cuts in general, not benefits. So I'm perplexed.

You be thinking of Leon.Pinata I found a good pic of a pinata but can't post it.

GATES, thanks for the Panetta thing

HELL YES, MOTHER FUCKING JACKPOT READ THIS:
FROM MARCH 2011 [link to www.defensenews.com]

"The opening round in an expected barrage of Defense Department personnel cuts was fired March 14 when U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates sent a 48-page memo ordering the Pentagon to shed hundreds of civilian jobs, more than 1,000 contractors and as many as 140 generals and admirals. The memo aims to save $13.6 billion between 2012 and 2016 through these and other measures, including reorganizing the defense intelligence community and reducing the activities of the combatant commands."

Re: OBAMA TO CUT HEALTHCARE BENEFITS FOR MILITARY
The Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers’ benefits untouched. The proposal is causing a major rift within the Pentagon, according to U.S. officials. Several congressional aides suggested the move is designed to increase the enrollment in Obamacare’s state-run insurance exchanges.

Significantly, the plan calls for increases between 30 percent to 78 percent in Tricare annual premiums for the first year. After that, the plan will impose five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent—more than 3 times current levels.

Re: OBAMA TO CUT HEALTHCARE BENEFITS FOR MILITARY
My husband is retired Navy and we're both on Tricare for Life (the after 65 part of it when you also have Medicare). It's free now. Before that we paid a fairly modest Tricare premium, but then we chose the plan where we used approved doctors and facilities.

That sounds ominous if you've ever HAD to use military medicine (both my husband and I are military brats, so we're used to the cattle-call form of medicine), but, we're in the Puget Sound area and our Navy hospital is really busy, so it's not usual to wind up having to go there. We both found great healthcare providers in their lists, and have been happy with them.

Almost five years ago, I got diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, and Tricare was splendid! Only a very few times did we get docked for moving on the medical procedures before the Tricare approval date, where we had to pay for the procedure.

So, our family won't be complaining about having to pay something again for our coverage. Our daughter is a civilian employee at joint base Lewis-McChord and her health coverage for herself and the two boys is MUCH higher and there are copays that are real killers. bump

I am so happy to hear a really upbeat post on the military. I love my friends, who have made the military their home...I so want them to be taken care of...the way they will take care of us.

I am trained emt, and I used to work in an er, plus I have been in a hospital as a patient many times. It is so important that u receive really good treatment in order to survive...not only physically but mentally too. they both are one aspect...not two.

I have had poor treatment, and I have had the best...I came out of the hospital after having my spine fused...got the best care...now I am brand new.

Hope u are doing well, too.:pjt:
