Yea me and fiance are members of a local gun range, she just started shooting, but shes really good already, we have competitions.

Each shoot 10 rds at some splatter targets and see who gets the most points, lol, Fun date

and what brand 22? Our WM has a couple boxes of Remington Thunderbolt but that stuff is garbage.


22 is a good survival round and it will kill people but u gotta ask yourself how come no army uses it?

Sorry but these shortages are here to stay. The shortages from 2008 took years and still never completely got back to normal. This time will be even worse and I suspect some of these companies will implode. There are already rumors of union strikes at these ammo companies because of increased production hours.

Because it does not have the penetration power. A .22 isnt the round of choice to shoot threw shit.. but it will kill someone just as good.. military does not have to worry about price or weight as much as your everyday civilian..

Yeah, I was thinking of that too in central Mexico and even got a tree, but I found out that a tree will only produce enough for about one coffee pot of coffee per year.

But then I found out that peoples over there in Kenya prefer to make a tea from coffee leaves, which are full of caffeine and more abundant than the beans.

But I still don't see the coffee plant being practical in survival, unfortunately.

It's better than any weapon other than a fire arm.

You know very little about .22LR. I guarantee you don't want shot with one. it is the favorite of most hired killers in a book I read a while back. Less mess and the bullet will bounce around inside the skull several times

Just checked sportsmansguide dot com. Some .22 left but all other ammo is backordered from February clear through October.

In combat the first thing one does is try and get behind cover. 22lr will not penetrate that cover. Minimum for me is 5.56. Others like 7.62x39, no argument from me.....

Was at Cabellas yeaterday. They had quite a bit of ammo.
But again I don't shoot a 9mm or 22lr pea shooter. I shoot 45-70.

My husband was at the Cabela's north of Fort Worth, TX this week. He didn't believe the posts on here that I was telling him about... about everything being gone.

Well he went to Cabela's and when he came home he said "Its just like the pictures. Everythign is gone."

My wife's best friend is a senior manager for a Walmart Super center. She got off the phone with and I had her ask about this. Everyone believing that they are freezing the purchase of more AMMO is WRONG! They are still getting it in but it's just slow because of the sudden demand, and they are limiting the amount you can purchase that is true. So get off it, and find somewhere else to buy you bullets.
