There needs to be a fundamental change in human consciousness.

I know that sounds all "new agey" and hippy and love everyone...

But it's true.

The fact is the elite are nothing more than opportunists. They aren't to blame. THE PEOPLE are to blame. WE give them an opportunity, and they take it. It's as simple as that. We all like to point the finger, but WE ARE TO BLAME. Please think about that. Even if you don't agree, just think about it every now and then, next time you want to complain.

No government, no religion, no economy, no law can protect against opportunists. Why? Because whenever a society improves itself, it inevitably becomes complacent.

If the people did defeat the elite and it was up to the people to establish a new government, which would it be? Dictatorship, democracy, republic, socialism?

How would you protect the government against selfish opportunists? The answer: YOU WOULDN'T.

Why?

Because all people are selfish, greedy, materialistic...and completely out of sync with universal spirit, nature...literally everything outside of "ME".

It would be a return to our Constitutional government if anything at all, because that is what all the true patriots want. Otherwise, the fight would never end.

And as far as US giving THEM an opportunity and they take it. Well, I was around for the Patriot Act. They didn't read that either, Ron Paul and Kucinich were the only 2 that said NO.

We didn't give them the opportunity of 9/11, they gave it to themselves and boy howdy, we're still feeling that one and it's only intensified.

I want my government to return to the RULE OF LAW and they don't want to.

Most people don't even know what rights they've lost, they're that fucking ignorant.

I thought whenever they shredded the constitution that it would be over, that people would be outraged, yet nothing. It seems like everyone is wanting to pretend as long as they get theirs for just a little longer.

If government workers, pensioners, and those who receive from the government which is now a majority want to keep pretending, I have finally realized that anyone working for it, saving, or trying to build a future, will have all their labor stolen, and their lives ruined. Yet with a super majority of Americans now hanging on by their fingernails, they are not willing to lose what they believe is entitled to them in a entitlement society

People think the end will come as a big catharsis and we'll get to start over. That's how they used to be. But now it's more like being ground to dust.

God, this doesn't even seem like my country anymore, it's definitely not what I was told we were all about.

We can't even call ourselves free!

We can't even claim that we have representation through elected public servants!

We can't even say that we have a fair and legal free capitalist society any longer!

We can't say that we are fighting for freedom, when we have none, and we are invading and installing banks!

We can't say we are a nation of peace, whenever we have become the invaders.

We can't claim that we have justice, whenever everyone in government is above the law, and giving all our tax dollars to wall street and the bankers.

We are the most spied upon people on the planet

THe most indebted nation in history

THe largest prison population per capita on earth.

The most drugged out society in human existence.

We slaughter the unborn by the millions and call the mayans savages for their blood sacrifices.

We are disgusting, corrupt, bankrupt, desperate, and dying as a people.

Almost all of SE Asia has a higher drug addiction rate

so get a life and move on. materialism is not everything,
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33460327

Sounds wonderful in theory, but people here are not being materialistic, they are worried about the most basic things needed for survival, such as some type of roof over their heads. And food, especially if they have children.

The problem is that people can't get a life because they can't get a fucking job and you can't move on without money in your pocket.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17851333

it's not the picture i see, roads are always congested, sign of prosperity, the reality tv shows, show fat belly's tells me food is plentiful most americans live in very nice homes big driveways, detached, spotlessly clean,; unlike here in the uk, congested, unhappy people, taxed to the eye balls, yet people seem to have money for fags, beer, football, car, mortgage, food, bills, savings, kids, school, sound like everyone is doing okay

Believe it or not, reading this thread actually makes me feel relieved in a way. I've been wondering lately if I'm the only person feeling the way you are describing. It's nice to know I'm not the only one having trouble and wondering how long the storm is going to last. I honestly hope things change soon, but am also mentally prepared for this way of life to last a long time. I haven't given up on my dreams, although I've scaled my expectations down. Just gotta keep trying, and focusing on the positive things in life, even if they seem scarce. The way I see it, all that really matters is being a good person. Most of the people around me have given up on money; thus, love and respect are more valuable than a big bank account.
 Quoting: Wrastlor

there are millions of hardworking , enterprising americans that are experiencing this. ...in varying degrees.

the economy is visibly fragile. All that are making money right now KNOW that this won't last much longer.

i'm tired myself. I've been self employed all of my life and it takes more effort to find work than it does to do the contract once I have it. ..

the stock market is reaching all time highs. !??WTF?

conflicting stories ...employment up? employment down? we've entered another recession? the recession ended in 2010? ...

this sham will end soon. but for most of us hardworking, honest people, not soon enuf. I've seen this country when it was based on principles THAT DO NOT RESEMBLE ANYTHING LIKE IT IS TODAY SO DON'T FUCKING TELL ME THAT 'IT'S STILL BETTER THAN OTHER NATIONS!'.

i've been to many other countries...they've always been fucked up...THE U.S. WAS THE LAST BASTIAN OF FREEDOM...NOW THE HOPE IS OVER. ..

the majority of the U.S. population 51% or so..now prefers security over freedom, prefers lying over the truth, prefers money without work, prefers the superficial over core morals, prefers selishness over selflessness...etc etc...

and this means the demise of the nation because the MAJORITY will now support the insane plan to destroy this nation.

a few people coming together in small groups...is the only thing that will be rational..

Big dittos to both of you

I"ve been considering forming an 'intentional community' for several years...but finding like minded people is very difficult. The most difficult part is the finances. How to make a living after the relocation. Money does get in the way. It would be easy if I were single...then anything is possible...but with a family, it becomes more complex.

It has been said that the Mountains of the appalachians or Rockies will be the only place where 'relative peace' will exist in small groups/communities.

anyone interested in talking further? Any Hard working, honest, moral people out there?

You are right, OP. Exactly how I feel.

I had big dreams to travel the world someday. Now I'm broke and too disheartened by all the TSA crap at the airports to want to fly anywhere.

It seems there is nothing to look forward to anymore but the drudgery of trying to come up with enough money to get by every month. I try to keep positive for my kids, but they have no idea how far in the hole I am now. All I wanted was to give them a good childhood.

Don't worry, it will soon

What will precipitate it will be a natsec (national security) crisis that overwhelms the feckless O'Bozo Admn. Then there will be a gigantic repeat---a post 2008 meltdown, occurring on multiple levels....just like what really triggered 2008, the Russians sudden invasion of Georgia in August of that year.

"soon" = starts end of March, proceeds & intensifies in April/May/June...the cast of characters are all set.

Plus, from an astrological standpoint the planets line up just like Fall '08, except this time much, much more deadly....all hosted by ever deadly Mars in Taurus, with a backdrop of the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) in their worst sign placements possible, and transiting critical placements in the natal charts of the USA, China, the EU, and NYC. It's a seriously unholy culmination of human folly.

Why it works: dark matter/energy in the universe is directly tied to human consciousness, some phycists think the universe itself is conscious, and the dark m/e is a direct clue. anyhow astrology has given us a 5000 yr old system of observation & analysis.

Get someplace safe until it blows over years later.

A Constitutional government is obviously not perfect. If people were able to destroy it, then obviously something was very wrong with it. Otherwise, it couldn't have rotted from the inside out in the first place. Why would you want to install the same old government again, which will inevitably fall into treasonous hands all over again in a few generations. If you know anything about the elite, they are very patient.

Regarding us giving them the opportunity and they taking it, what I mean was...they could get away with 911, and they knew it.

All the holes in the story, WTC7, Rumsfeld saying 93 was "shot" down, firemen reporting bombs, stories about bin Laden being reported dead from natural causes in Dec 2001...

Just like JFK...they knew a small group of people would ask questions, but that's as far as it would go. They knew the media wouldn't go in depth...because they know the people don't demand in-depth journalists asking controversial questions.

That's what needs to change, above all else.

Those are just a small sample of the opportunities we give to them.

People apparently LOVE being stupid. They LOVE giving their rights to "authorities" "experts" and "officials".

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone, for the pin, for the support, for the Karma, but more than anything, just listening.

Coming here is kind of like preaching to the quire, but the support factor, and the idea that this touched a few people, or illustrated their feelings too, leaves me humbled.

Thank you.

There are a few things that we now know left loopholes for opportunistic "lawmakers" (PUBLIC SERVANTS who have forgotten their place in all of this. The people need to close up these loopholes to wipe out corruption.

1. Term limits
2. No dual citizenship of any type allowed in our House or Senate
3. Each bill must deal with only 1 issue at a time. No tacking unrelated things onto "must pass" military spending bills as one example to screw over the people.

I think if the shtf and a new government was forming, this is what most would have been fighting for in the first place. People paying attention know these flaws about the Constitution.

This machine is destroying the middle class.

It's destroying what jobs I use to have coming in.

It's destroyed my industry.

It's bailing out the rich through QE welfare candy for wall street, and foodstamp cellphone candy for the poor.

Meanwhile the gap is growing, and we are all getting weaker.

Yet, everyone I talk to says don't do anything, I've listened for the last three years as one dooms day prediction after another has come and gone. Every time I think the elite are about to be dethroned Icelandic style, they break a law that is totally ignored, never prosecuted, and allows them to keep the charade going for another couple months. Bailouts, money creation, theft like MF Global, laundering money like HSBC, and yet no one goes to jail.

I've come to understand that TOO BIG TO FAIL means one thing, it means the destruction of the middle class, and the strip mining of our nation.

So many people have lost everything, many others are struggling, and yet even more are cheating, or turning to criminal activity just to survive, including the states that have legalized everything lately except for prostitution.

I have no more dreams, and I was a dreamer.
There is no future, they've taken that away.

And, largely exhausted from that effort and from surviving the storm Sandy, then Sandy Hook happened. And we swung into action and debunked that.

And yet, NY State passed its ridiculous new gun laws under emergency provisions, with the approval of the legislature to waive the normal 3 day comment period.

Even though Sandy Hook failed, they "overlooked" that and rolled ahead anyway.

It's a fun sport to debunk these things and expose the naked emperor, but it seems only to elicit stronger repression. At least it forces the iron fist to peek through the camouflage of the velvet glove, and that's worth something, somehow.

They can push paper faster than a wall paper hanger these days.

Amazing isn't it? This has to tell us these laws have been written a long time ago and they have a library with the agenda written all over it.

The multitude does not demand inquiry. The multitude forgets. The multitude is easily distracted and hypnotized. If and until they become like us, awake and aware, the human race is doomed.

People who have true understanding...or even slight understanding, are still in a very, very tiny minority.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31804933

I am not sure about that. It's nice to be called a fellow pure raindrop, feels great, but public opinion really did swing against Obama after Benghazi and the bad debate performance after that.

And there was massive public skepticism about Sandy Hook. THE DEBUNKING WORKED!! I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT! There were many great fighters, some here on GLP, forcing their way through the obfuscation and getting the goods on it, and the public learned and became skeptical too.

And yet, it doesn't matter. The agenda continues, perhaps at a greater cost to someone, but still it continues.

People talk of revolution. So many want this whole thing to change, or even collapse. But it doesn't seem to be happening, and many are aware but cynical. Count me in to that group.

Re: I need for this whole charade to collapse before I get ground into financial dust ....
The thing is, even though it would seem as if we are completely doomed, we can't give up. We have to keep trying to wake people up.

Nobody likes to be wrong, and everybody has a need to be right. If you can make just one single person question their current worldview, you've made an enormous (but thankless) contribution to the advancement of mankind.

We have to keep at it. We have more power now than ever with the Internet. The sheep keep using it for football and celebrities, but as soon as those who consistently question every single thing deemed "official" becomes the majority, we will then have significant change for the better on this planet.

You can't fool a wise and constantly thinking public. The old corrupt systems will fall. They have no choice. How could a government possibly take away the rights of an intelligent public? The public would laugh in the face of the public servants, and the old systems of corruption will simply no longer be relevant.

Knowledge is the ultimate power.

I just hope I live to see that day.

I keep hearing that we ought to resist. OK. Resist how?

Stop paying taxes = get kicked out of my home or go to jail.

March on Washington? Yeah right, fat load of good that does.

Vote? hahahhahhahahahhahahahhahahaha!

So, what can be done to resist the tyranny?

This is the million dollar question.
 Quoting: ^TrInItY^

A third political party could be a start.

The Dems and Repubs are hopeless and totally corrupt.

We need a new party, infused with young, up-and-coming lovers of freedom and liberty -- kind of a truely "retro" party based soley on the Constitution.

There are surely Congresspeople and Senators who would embrace a new direction. If such a party's ideas are presented clearly and with integrity, it could catch fire like Obama did in 2008.

My 82 year old Poppa has the ultimate solution: make all elections party free. No one can run as a member of a party. There will be no primaries. Any US citizen who qualifies under the law can run for any office. The person who gets the most votes wins (in an election with a "vice", the person with the second most votes gets that position). BRILLIANT!

I do believe this one change would change most of what is wrong with our politically corrupt system and we would be able to return to a truly representative republic where who we elect actually represent we the people.

Yes I'll probably keep at it too. Because it's the natural thing to do. It feels like less of a waste of time and food than many other things I could be doing.

And when GLP bans me, we seem to get a power outage within a week or 2, my IP changes and I am back on here. rofl

Have you guys tried to join your local militia yet?
The constitutions of most of our States and the United States assert, that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves, in all cases to which they think themselves competent, or they may act by representatives, freely and equally chosen; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of the press. -Thomas Jefferson in a letter to John Cartwright, June 5, 1824
