I'm sure 911 is included. Whether you knew it or not, if you have a cell phone, you've been footing the bill for a mobile device for a low-income family. The "Federal Universal Service Charge" is often lumped in with other carrier fees at the bottom of your monthly cell phone bill, usually amounting to a couple of bucks a month. That money is pooled into a fund disbursed by the FCC to cell phone carriers who provide free or low-cost cellphones for families who qualify for other federal benefits, such as food stamps or welfare. |

MONSTER User ID: 2122560 United States 02/05/2013 05:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Chicago Tribune reports that officers of the Chicago Police Department will no longer be dispatched to handle less dangerous crimes. The measures went into effect on Sunday. Quoting: Indysmindy Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said that this dramatic shift would free up as many as 200 officers from compiling paperwork to being out on a beat. McCarthy also said that unnecessary 911 calls – including reporting dogs barking and parents complaining their kids won’t eat their vegetables – are putting an unnecessary drain on the system. He said that as it stands, Chicago officers respond to around 70 percent of 911 calls, as opposed to around 30 percent for other cities. He said at a recent press conference: ‘I don’t mean to be flippant here, because I’ve been the victim of a burglary at least three or four times. I’d rather have the officer on the street, where he can prevent the shooting.’ The news comes as Chicago faces a violent crime epidemic, with nearly 50 homicides and 170 shootings already this year, and had 506 murders in 2012. Now do you really think parents call 911 to report their kids wont eat their vegetables? I dont believe him. FEMA camp near Chicago ILLINOIS Marseilles - Located on the Illinois River off Interstate 80 on Hwy 6. It is a relatively small facility with a cap of 1400 prisoners. Though it is small it is designed like prison facilities with barred windows, but the real smoking gun is the presence of military vehicles. Being located on the Illinois River it is possible that prisoners will be brought in by water as well as by road and air. This facility is approximately 75 miles west of Chicago. Anonymous Coward User ID: 16071631 United States 02/05/2013 05:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Rahm shut down 3 police stations in Chicago. The jail cells are overflowing. Cops are being worked to death because of the shortage of manpower, working overtime. Over 500 cops quitting/retiring per year and only 40 new cops hired. Police Headquarters, lots of empty cubicles with empty desks & chairs. More unqualified civilians are manning the desks at headquarter. About 8,000 cops for a population of 3.5 million. New York city has 40,000 cops. Years ago, the patrol cars were finally 2 men cars for their safety. Now its back to 1 man. The gang bangers on the south side of Chicago wait for the cops to get off work, then shoot them in the parking lot or at their homes. The major news media are not telling the truth about what's really going on. These black gangs used to live in highrise projects on the south side. The city kicked them out, housing them all over the city so crime rates have accelerated throughout. The project housing were flattened to make way for Obama's Valarie Jarrett's high end condos with the help of the former mayor Daley. The city has a budget crisis because the 50 aldermen keep giving themselves a raise with $1 million annually each to spend in their districts; keep building more parks with flowers ($20 ea.) which they switch out every season, keep giving freebies to the users/takers who know how to use the system (free storm doors, windows, heaters, etc.), the list is endless. Even Obama's house is protected 24/7 and he never goes home, stays in a hotel. |
