His entire dialog preceding his attitude adjustment was abusive, post ass kicking he was a reasonable and respectful falla...if you can't tell the difference then you are too stupid to speak with any further...
 Quoting: BRIEF

so you're saying this cop set that guy straight? you do realize that guy probably didn't have a problem with police beforehand and now hopes they all die right? how can you seriously have just one little bitty perspective? are you the cop in this video?
 Quoting: IvantZtrooth

He would have a very small mind if this made him hate ALL police now...if one black person robs you, do you hate all black people?
 Quoting: BRIEF

I dont know, I doubt one ever robbed you and you seem to hate all black people
 Quoting: Really?really?

Wrong idiot, not only have I been robbed by them, they, different Negroes, broke into my parents home, held them at gunpoint and would have shot my downs syndrome brother had my father not stepped in front of the gun...any other bullshit pathetic dumbass questions?
I never forgive and I never forget

I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked.

I notice you always ask any more questions, speaks of a need of attention, and an affirmation of your rightness. I didn't ask a question, I made a wrong assumption. Which in fairness I apologize for. Is that when you started hating black people? There's a question.

Re: Police Officer Slaps US Soldier
The officer best known for his "rap music" and refuses to comment on the video
 Quoting: Philligan

I don't blame him, because idiots would pick it apart and edit it to make him look as bad as possible.

Solider boy is still young, dumb, and fulla cum...he needed an attitude adjustment, which is probably why he got his ass kicked before the cops came...
 Quoting: BRIEF

Mostly agree with your posts Brief but always saying Police are in the right isnt always the right answer. I understand they put their lives on the line daily to fight the scum of the earth but some certainly need their own attitudes adjusted.

Not every cop is polite super nice guy. Some are power hungry assholes.

In this situation yes the kid did NOT need to step up like he did and evidently that's all it took to set the officer off. But maybe this wasn't the first time this officer did something like this
 Quoting: Philligan

I hope the cop does it every time a cry baby steps up with "me me " demands!

Re: Police Officer Slaps US Soldier
Power-hungry cops. This man was clearly in shock from being hit and an attempted robbery. The cop is an aggressive jerk who wants to maintain his power in the situation. This is why cops suck. Enforcing the law does not mean you're above it and can assault anyone you want, much less the victim of a crime.

I hope this cop spends just a few days in jail, with the general population. Maybe his ego can be brought back down to size.
 Quoting: Vermonster

Youre stupido eh ! think you need adjustment as welltambien !

I being prior service agree, Biscuits has spoken the truth.
 Quoting: AdHocBOHICA

Good old boys from yesteryear......yada, yada. Still missing the point. Just one thing......The ex marine cop is now a civilian police officer. His job is to protect and serve. Not beat a light weight smart ass kid into submission. A few well chosen words could have worked. But, why bother....violence and degradation is so much more fun. Especially if you're a big fat tub of shit. Good thing he didn't have to chase the kid.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 381452

Enjoy the odor that being piss ignorant imposes on your lack of wisdom. You remind me of the 23 year old crying in front of our platton because he was called soom pretty nasty names and humilated.....rightly so, Called a weakly coward motherf&*r by our DI.......Cried like a little bitch, glad he washed out due to his tantrums of "hurt feelings" he was.
 Quoting: AdHocBOHICA

I heard him say he was a reservist later in the video, obviously trying to profile. When your were DI'ing or NCO'ing and you ran across this type of hyped up attitude, remember this dude just got beat up so hid manhood was already threatened, would you ever take a position of " Take a breath and think soldier, reset that attitude, before this become official?" Just interested because NCO's must run across lots of hyped up nervous young guy's. In regards to your last comment, some people should never be in the army, hate to think that they are a write off as a person because they cant adjust to that type of thing.

Depends on the troop and the situation/mission. If any NCO or DI from the past couple decades tells you that he slapped or punched a soldier (unless in self defense) as matter of his policy probably has a spot on his record. There are exceptions to the rule like being downrange for one. I've used the approach you're talking about most (99.9%) of the time with different lingo. Back in the day, while I was a trainee, I watched a DI kick a trainee up some stairs. When I became a DI If you did that (not saying it didn't happen) you got to see the old man and at the very least you were "off status" for duration of the investigation. For a regular NCO the rules weren't so stringent depending on the situation. There are other ways to handle the situation. Same applies for officers, "you do not put your hands on the troops unless it's extraordinary circumstances" period. The Corps is a LITTLE more lax about it, not much though. The days of "Full Metal Jacket" have been gone for a long time. You might be able to get by with it provided none of the trainees never blab. The regs and UCMJ are pretty clear about that. The only time I can reacll I punched somebody in the chest while I was "on the trail" (DI status) was performing CPR on a trainee that "died" (I think) while doing morning PT.

I am more asking how do you tone a recruit like that down and still make him an effective soldier? More the psychology of it I suppose. Do you have the leeway or the methodology to put across the idea "Calm down, access your situation and come to terms with it."
