So...how did you get here?

As in...not what specifically brought you to GLP..but how did you all become conspiracy theorists?

For me it started in high school. I had a couple of really cool teachers who talked about the Kennedy assassination and encouraged us to question it. One teacher even devoted a whole class day to talking about it and even had a few students come up and recreate the passengers of the limo to demonstrate the magic bullet theory. I was immediately hooked on the JFK assassination afterwards, much to the amusement of my friends and family.

But up until just a couple of years ago, that was as far as I went. I used to think birthers, 9/11 truthers, and chemtrailtards were a bunch of loonies. My parents are extremely liberal so for the longest time that was what I believed too. I never bothered to look into anything, I just figured I was smart enough to know when to draw the line on what was real and what was pure craziness.

Then on a whim one day I watched a video about 9/11 that came up after some stupid cat video on YouTube and It was like a punch in the gut. Wait, so these people AREN'T crazy?! All this time I made fun of them and I was the idiot buying the MSM story? After that it was like dominoes falling. Once I woke up to 9/11 I began looking into other "crazy" theories, and now here I stand before you today, a certified conspiritard.

So fellow conspiritards, if you're bored enough, share how you got here. I am really interested in hearing other people's stories on how they came to realize that everything is not as it seems..
