What do you think about this one OP?

I take Optimum Nutrition Opti Men's Vitamin 3 times a day.

The nutrition Facts on the back seemed pretty promising so I've been taking it for a little over 6 months now.

Dr. Susser! on Thyroid patients
[link to www.youtube.com]

If you are a vegan or vegetarian, If your diet is low in iodide and iron selenium and you have very high levels of soya in your diet then it is possible that this will contribute to thyroid problems. Soya can compete with your body’s ability to process iodide.”

I am vegan I have no problems with my thyroid I do not eat soya I eat Brazil nuts for my selenium I take kelp and I cook with cast iron.

Why Quinoa? It is a complete protien. In time of famine or shortage of food it is a great way to stay alive.
When you buy them you will see how small the seeds are they do not take many to grow alot of food for a family.
Now is the time to learn how to grow quinoa. Before we have shortages of food. Second it is a good time to learn how to cook it in different dishes.

Re: Antioxidants
Chenopodium Quinoa (pronounced ‘keenwa’) is one of the most ancient crops that was domesticated in the Andes of South America. It has been cultivated for more that 6,000 years and is held sacred by the Incas and Aztecs cultures – referred to as the ‘mother grain.’ Quinoa seed looks like a cross between sesame and millet seed and, although treated as a grain, it’s not. It’s related to spinach and to the common weed Lamb’s Quarters. It’s an annual and grows between four and nine feet producing large, beautiful flowers. These amazing blooms vary in color from white to yellow to green to red and even black! The seed also varies in color. The most commonly imported seed is white and yellow, while red Quinoa is now making an appearance in many local grocery stores.

Historically, many rituals (and still some today) were involved in the growing of this beautiful plant. In ancient times the first seed of the season was planted by the emperor (god-king), a cultural ritual and spiritual practice. Consuming the sacred grain was known to sustain the body with long endurance, heighten psychic abilities and bring one to a deeply spiritual place through meditation.

The Natives of the Andes used Quinoa not only as a food but as a medicine. It was used to treat appendicitis, liver problems, urinary tract problems, and infections. [link to urbangardenmagazine.com]

Re: Antioxidants
Before I go on perhaps ya'll are wondering why I am writing about this. Because this is the greatest conspiracy of all. Sex education is now being taught when our children enter school, but not a word about antioxidants, how they work or how to protect oneself against free radicals which are the natural way to prevent diseases. The food that is being served in schools and in our restaurants would not be there if our children and ya'll were aware of how serious this problem is. They would not eat it which would force the schools to change and our restaurants would also. Change requires education, education then needs to be put into action, it becomes a life style, a habit, which in this case reaps an abundant healthy life for our children grand children and great grand children, and us.

Re: Antioxidants
Did 16 year old named Robert Rayford, the supposed first aids patient in the U S die of aids or from over head spraying...
Quote,
Yet another theory describe in the book “The River” says that Robert became vulnerable to the illnesses he contracted because of an incident that should cause anyone who knows about it to distrust governments. During the 1950’s, the Army Chemical Corps conducted open-air chemical warfare tests in American cities. These included thirty-five aerosol releases in and around St. Louis. Most of those tests were conducted in low-income neighborhoods full of people of color, probably to minimize public resistance to such tests. One of those test areas was only half a block from the house in which Robert was born.

At the time, the Army and the CIA (who worked with the Army on some of the projects) gave a cover story to local officials and the press in which they claimed that they were conducting the experiments to see whether smoke screens could shield US cities from Soviet attack. More than two decades later, an army spokesman insisted the tests were “completely safe.”

However, those tests involved zinc cadmium sulfide, a mixture of zinc sulfide and cadmium sulfide. It’s frequently referred to as a flourescent particle because it glows in ultraviolet light. This quality makes it easy to trace in diffusion experiments. However, cadmium is a highly toxic metal that is even more pernicious when spread through the air. Because the kidneys absorb it quickly, it is commonly associated with kidney failure, leads to cirrhosis of the liver and causes severe damage to the lungs and edemae. All of these were noted in Robert’s report. Also, the effects can be passed by the mother to her fetus, so it’s entirely possible that Robert may have developed the seeds of his illnesses while he was still in the womb.

So what, exactly, made Robert sick? We may some day have the answer, but not as long as a postmortem diagnosis made with the limited knowledge the scientific community had about a disease, its etiology and epidemology is allowed to stand in the light of evidence to contradict it, and as long as that analysis is still accepted as part of a foundation for research and other work related to AIDS. Poor Robert R., who surely suffered in life, has been used in death as a foundation for one of the more crippling myths in our history. He and the fourteen friends and acquaintances of mine whose deaths were attributed to AIDS are surely spinning in their graves.

Re: Antioxidants
An enzyme that can turn back the hands of time—really?

This enzyme, called telomerase, slows the rate at which telomeres degrade, and research indicates that healthy people with longer telomeres have less risk of developing the common illnesses of aging—like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, which are three big killers today. But telomerase is a double-edged sword, because it has the potential to fuel the growth of any cancer cells already lurking in the body. So we wouldn't want to just wantonly dial up a person's levels. Instead, we're studying the habits of people who have longer telomeres. We think there are lifestyle factors that boost telomerase naturally.
A diet high in omega-3 fatty acids is one of the clearest examples. Exercise is another key. Research consistently shows that.

I put Chia seeds in my water several times a week for omega 3 and exercise every day. I am a non meat eater I will be 68 years old and I have not taken any kind of pill since the 90's....my blood test came back and I am good in all areas except vitamin D which my Dr said was normal for coming out of the winter months, I am in the sun every day and get 10,000- 20,000 units a day now of Vit D.

Prions have been found in both human and animal urine.
Contamination of soil with urinary prions may contribute to spreading prion disease among animals, which are known to ingest large amounts of soil, including cattle, sheep and cervids. Worrisomely, the continuous excretion of urine and the extremely high resistance of prions may lead to a progressive accumulation of infectious material in the environment, with potentially catastrophic consequences in the future.

I recently read an article about the prions attaching to the grass. The lack of fertilizer is causing farmers to look for alternatives, one being human urine. So whatever is in human urine not just prions but other problems it could easily get into the food supply. I do the best I can to buy organic or locally and I pray over my food.
