How funny would it be if cats and dogs could appreciate MUSIC

. They would think we were some kind of gods if they could hear it. They would pester for us to turn it on just so they could listen.


Of course this is not the case, because although they have fantastic hearing range and sensitivity, they can only sense the difference between about half an octave, where as humans can sense down to a single semi tone and often considerably smaller gradients if trained musicians.

Basically a musical scale to us, sounding like music and 7 notes, would to a dog sound like roughly two alternating tones.
