7 years of tribulations

No. The 7 year treaty with Israel is negotiated by the antichrist. Antichrist has yet to emerge on the world scene. Before the 7 year peace agreement, the church is to be raptured, a war has to occur and one world gov't established. The tribulation period starts at the point the Rapture occurs. This Pope who just resigned is a non-player in the end times, whatever meal he's negotiated with the Jews.

You're right about the antichrist being the negotiator, but I think the church won't be raptured until at least midway through the trib.

Obama and Mahmoud Abbas will be meeting with Bibi in Israel during passover week to negotiate peace. Obama will get it done, and the world will swoon. Mahmoud Abbas ("Mabus") will get some credit too, but he'll be killed in November when "the Comet" is visible. This year's passover will mark the beginning of the 7 year tribulation. This is also the time that Elijah is supposed to return and begin his 3 and one half year witness. In three and one half years, the new Pope will take his seat (mentioned in this thread by the OP)in the temple, and the abomination of desolation prophecy will be fulfilled. Also, this is were Elijah will be killed but will be resurrected and will ascend. Very possible the church is raptured then.

One interesting wrinkle is that the Gog/Magog war is arguably supposed to take place before the peace treaty. Russia and Iran have been hoarding gold, and Iran is selling its oil for gold. Also, today's news shows that an Iranian minister/politician was killed in Lebanon. I think the prophecy provides enough leeway for a very short "war" that we might consider as merely a series of attacks in rapid succession. The Gog/Magog prophecy also includes reference to a massive earthquake (could be a nuke or an asteroid) which seems likely considering all of the activity lately.

Now is imperative to be watchmen.

This ASSumes:

1) This 86? year old ill man is the antichrist.

2) He's healthy enough to travel to Israel and take some sort of official 'seat'.

and

3) The third temple will be built on this location, a different location than the previous two temples, and a place without historic precedent for being a temple of any kind.

and

4) This aged pope will live long enough to see this temple built (years) and then take that official seat.


Sorry, too many hoops to jump through on that one.
