Since when is it against the law to have a bumper sticker on your car? I always thought the Police needed a legal reason to pull you over, I guess I'm wrong, just another notch taken out of our freedoms.

"Apparently Ohio State – and college football in general – isn’t very popular in the state of Tennessee.

At least not with the police.

Bonnie Jonas-Boggioni, 65, and her husband were driving home to Plano, Texas from Columbus after attending her mother-in-law’s funeral when a pair of black police SUV’s stopped the couple a few miles outside of Memphis.

“Knowing I wasn’t speeding, I couldn’t imagine why,” Jonas-Boggioni told the Columbus Dispatch. “They were very serious. They had the body armor and the guns.”

On the back of Jonas-Boggioni’s car was a Buckeye leaf decal, similar to the one players’ have on their helmets, and cops mistakenly thought it was marijuana leaf."

I know a guy that got pulled over for speeding and he had a sticker of a guy smoking a cigarette on the back of his truck and the cop wondered if that was a pot sign and asked to search his vehicle which moronically he allowed him to do and he found a few buds in a one-hitter.

I educated him but people just aren't prepared for how persuasive the police are. They are trained to pose questions in a way that you almost feel you have to consent.

It's crazy that the Police go after a car with a buckeye leaf bumper sticker on their car with 2 unmarked SUVs and body armor. The only thing that would make this story better or scarier is getting dragged out of the car, tasered and a drug sniffing dog.
Then they act like it's the couples fault and not their own for not knowing the difference between the two leaves.
Back in the day when I used to partake, I at least had enough sense not to advertise my hobby. Just common sense, don't draw attention to your self if your doing something illegal.
