UPDATED...clearer footage of strange light/lights in Louisiana Sky...February, 2013..2 vids same month 1 year apart!!!!!!

So what's the story here? Did you take this video? Give some background of what I'm looking at please.

Yes this is my video...this object of light was sitting over our home, so i went grab the camera and took some stills with the ISO at 800 because the video wouldnt pick up the light. It stayed over the house a good hour or so. The camera is pointed straight up under a pecan tree, hence the branch for reference of motion, which there was none..the bottom side of the film would be facing west.

about 30 minutes west of new orleans

We have seen these lights twice. the second time we were able to get a picture before they totally faded. the interplay of light between the two spheres blended into a long line. it was excellent to watch. it lasted quite a long time for us as well. this was the best picture out of the lot we took.
we have since upgraded our equipment and hope to get a better set of shots next time. hope my attempt to link works.

Did you get to see it go away? I'm in SETX and had two weird things happen in the sky within a month, a couple of months ago. Thanks for filming.

Pretty awesome footage. Even a blimp would have moved more than that did and that was the only explanation I could find for it.

You can also google search for image, it can be pretty amazing. I came across something like this this winter and at first I didn't understand what it was. I was driving home at 3 in the morning and I saw 5 lights floating in the sky. I stopped and looked for several minutes, trying to understand. When I finally got home, i did some research and came up with this and it explained everything.

It was there a LONG time...i was only able to film it for about 45 minutes, it was getting a bit chilly and had work the next day, so i didnt get a chance to see it go away

it stayed longer even after i quit taking pics..no telling how long it stayed after i went inside

it wasnt a light pillar, this was a horizonal light, not vertical. and the moon was not in a phase to give off much light

this was taken one year to the month of the original post. same yard, same tree, same month, different years..same filmer

Oh wow. Now I see your concern, that is weird.
Hmm..

The only thing I can think of why it is in the same spot from a year ago is that there may be an acoustic node over where you live. What that means, I don't know, but I can do a little searching right now to see of there is anything geographically important to that area.

Also, how often do you notice it?

i have only noticed this feature in February nights in the last 2 years.

I'm in Metairie,Bucktown. I just saw this post, I never comment but had to on this. I guess vids have been taken down but I need to say that I have seen a few strange things in sky here by the lake, especially this last yr.lights,beams or glows as I call them,rainbow type swirls after chemtrails& what appears to be low,I mean real low silver/grey illuminated clouds that just don't look right. A lot of those lately and A lot of crazy energy lightning storms/no thunder. I've always been a skywatcher but lately its been a must bc of the strange shit I've seen the past yr or so. I hope you have found some answers for your peace of mind. Good on ya for sharing your vid even though I was unable to view.lol.. take care!
