Bitch on my block been hating on me for years. Every new neighbor we get, she tells these fabricated stories about me and my family to them. Guess what? I left the shit where it lay, and it's finally catching up with her. People see her for what she is and they see I am nothing like her lies portray me to be. And her husband is fucking another neighbor down the block. I know about it, but do I put her biz in the street? Nope. She'll find out when she supposed to.

I think these 'friends' should be let go first. They are not truly your friends if they wont support you regardless. Its not like your Dad went and killed people right? Even if he did, they should still be your friends, because it wasnt you.

Never give anyone free rent in your head. If whatever happened bothers your friends, then they are not your friends and better to be rid of them. He says it had something to do with his taxes. It was only for a month and the case was dropped but I cant look at him the same way.

Big deal...unless he dropped the soap while in prison i don't see the shame in that...

Wouldn't bother me if I found that out about a friend. And what does that have to do with you anyway? And there are worse things done - doing that does not make him a monster so cut him some slack already.

Well it would ruin our family name. People will talk behind our back. Right now no one besides us in the immediate family know.

I would if Christ could turn back time and have my dad sort out his taxes.

I see what you mean and my mom says the same. But still, going to prison is not something I can be proud of.

If its what your parents did, why let it bother you? You can't control other people's actions, might as well let it go, maybe that thought will comfort you?

We do know that God works all things for good for those who love Him. So, start to look at what good can be found for you and your family. Go past your shame and look at the rest of your emotions and how your parents might be feeling. Above all, seek out the good.

OP, you are not responsible for the actions of your parents. Full stop! The sooner you accept this and come to terms with it the sooner you will get better. Medication is not going to help you in the longer term although it may provide some benefits in the short term.. Counselling would be a much better use of your money. Good luck!

There's just too much stigma attached with going to prison. Your relatives, friends everybody would make up stories why it happened. Rumors would spread that it wasnt just taxes it was something else etc etc.

Id prescribe sterilisation to stop the cycle repeating again.

Why would you let that upset you that much, it's what your dad did and after posting my first comment, I was wondering if your parents raped. Going to jail for taxes is not a big deal, or if it wasnt you.

My parents feel like nothing ever happened. They dont even talk about it. But it keeps bothering me. I wish I could stop thinking about it.
