I'm reasonably sure they will be making it so that if Kinect doesn't detect you, you'll just get a stop error and you won't be able to go any further until it's 'fixed'.

I won't be buying the next Xbox, because aside from the Kinect thing, they also are going to require 24/7 internet connection, and they are putting the squeeze on second hand games, trying to make it so that you can't sell your own property, and can't buy cheap games second hand.

I hope this console buries them.
