Hate is simply the recognition and emotional reaction to a person or situation opposed to one's own well-being. It's more than that for me, for example, the corruption that stops aid getting to the starving hordes does not impact on me personally, but I HATE the fuckers who do it. |

I can see the point of a human going through the ENTIRE range of the human emotional spectrum. In that case, you come to know the light, by going through the darkness. Age old concept, we use it in Tantra, time tested. But to say that you need to actually CONTINUE to hold hate, just to know love doesn't make sense. I understand that light shines best in the darkness. Darkness in life, whether it be pain, suffering, negative emotions, whatever, can all be utilized for ones benefit. However, I dont see ANY sense beyond that. Is that what you meant? Or did you mean that even after experiencing hate, darkness, whatever, you still need it to experience and or know love. That I don't agree with, and in my own life I can attest to it not being valid. |

Although I do believe going through the darkness in my life has made me appreciate the light much more , and added much more richness to it.......I don't believe one has to continually experience ANY negativity in their lives once the lesson has been learned. I go through just as many hardships and trials as ever, but emotionally speaking, I don't harbor any negative feelings. |

I can be pissed. There just is never any stamina behind it. It comes and goes, and in a very short blast, and then I'm back to normal range of emotions, which aren't very hateful. Without peaking into my mind, it almost sounds like I'm healthy! That is a scary thought, because Im far from it. Most of the people on this thread, who hate, who can feel it, and at least hate SOMETHING, are probably much happier and more sane then myself. It is pathetic. I kind of wanted to participate, and I couldn't find a single damn thing to hate. I decided I guess I couldn't reply, until I saw someone say they hate people who can't hate. Doh! I hate the fact that I don't hate someone, or something! But see , even that produces a tiny chuckle inside of me, I don't really hate that, its so silly. I promise, don't give up on me. I WILL find something to hate, and I WILL HATE IT TO HELL. I feel sorry for you, perhaps one day you will have lived enough to hate and set yourself free from the shackles of normality (mental health). Seriously though, if you don't open up your heart, you can't hate, and it will fester inside you and cause some real damage to you and others. Drop down a notch to "intense dislike," not hate, and you may be able to find something to dislike. Looking inside yourself, searching for hate or dislike is a good thing to do. There are probably amazing things you'll come across that you never suspected were there. And, in order to roust out any hate (if you want to do that) you first have to find it. |
