Are any of you reading the "me tell u" thread. I am finding it fascinating.

Oh yes....Ive been following that one for some time! It is fascinating. I do not beleive in exact dates as I believe if this is from an etity/spirit, timelines can be off.
Therefore, I do not put merit into the dates, just that it is all happening and unfolding! That is enough for me! LOL

Man, hope that made sense!

Good advice, we are going to Vegas. It's our girl's trip. Not staying in a hotel on the strip though, we rented a house so I feel better about that.

Yes. We are alive and hopefully in good, or at least decent, health. We have people and animals we love and who love us in return.

Spring is here;summer is coming. We'll be able to have our gardens and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. We can make plans for summer vacations, retreats, adventures.

We can run a bubble bath, light a candle. If the snorting of our dog at the door, trying to sniff our our presence and protest our alone time bothers us, we can put on soothing music and pretend we don't care that our dog worries we will be in distress without them monitoring the situation or helping us.

We have healthy food to eat, stoves to cook it on, water from our faucets to wash the dishes, books to read, electricity to see the books, and a modern phone that we can turn off the ringer and not be disturbed.

We have choices. Sometimes limited, but a choice nonetheless. Think of all the choices we have that some don't. Stay home or go out. Which outfit to wear, what to eat or drink, who to allow in our home or not, to take in a stray animal or not, fill up the gas tank today or wait til tomorrow. What we'll have to eat tonight. Eat at home or go out. Just think of all the choices! If none appeal, we can sit back and not make any decisions.

We have hope. Hope that tomorrow will be better than today. We have friends. Someone we can talk with, listen to, cry with, and laugh with. Someone we can wish the best for and hope they are happy. Yes, Flav, good news. I wish it all for you and all the good people who are stressing over things which we have no control. Peace to you my friend.

Re: Coffee Klatch
On the day of the Boston bombing, I'd left home with two home schooled little girls to visit the Newport aquarium just below Cincinnati, in Kentucky.

It's a 3 hr. drive, one way. Even avoiding rush hour traffic, it was still busy, hectic, and much too crowded. Made me grateful to not live there and have to deal with it every day.

We got to the Aquarium. Online it looked like a parking lot outside a building with some nice places to look around, near it. Right on the river with nice seating, steps to go down and look around and a ways from the hustle, bustle, and city traffic.

The reality was different. It was busy and the parking was both in and out. Levels of indoor parking with an outdoor area of shopping places.

Inside the HUGE building that had the aquarium, were all types of stores, eateries, and elevators. Way too many choices. Each elevator had a box outside of it with a call button for assistance. Yay. I got directions how to get to the aquarium that I thought we were at.

After we found it, we had a wonderful day. They were enthralled with all the different animal life and how varied it is from country to country.

I saw a creature that I'd never known existed. A garden eel. When we first saw it, my stomach lurched. They were the most disgusting, vile looking things. They looked like a worm and appeared form nowhere out of the sand. I knew where the idea for the movie "Tremors" came from. I wanted to turn away and pretend I hadn't seen them, but the girls were thrilled and I couldn't leave them and didn't want to show my revulsion.

My glances at the eels made me feel less repulsed. Noticed that when my hand moved, their bodies swayed the way my hand moved. It turned out that the vile creatures actually had kind of cute little faces and looked friendly.

There were a couple that only seemed to pop up to bop a neighbor on the head, scan the area and see if there was anyone else close enough to torment. Others came up and stayed. Some came up, took a look, and went back under. Kind of like people, I thought. LOL.

When we finally left the aquarium after a very long day the girls were exhausted. We found our way to the parking garage.

The problem was, I couldn't remember if we parked on level P or J. Each level must have had acres of places to park. The girls were too tired to walk much more. They couldn't be left alone while I scouted for the car. So, we found a place to sit so they could tell me what they liked best.

Sadly, I couldn't give them the attention they deserved because I was planning how to find my car without alarming the girls. They're at that "worry" stage, as in, "are we lost", "are we safe", etc.

As I sat, half listening, playing with my keys, I felt the buttons on my key ring. HA! My car alarm. Didn't want to set it off in the parking area, but when the door is locked or unlocked, the car beeps once and flashes it's lights.

We we on J. Aiming my keys around and pushing buttons did nothing. The girls looked worried and asked what I was doing. I told them I was blessing all the cars and hoping the drivers had a safe ride home. They didn't believe me, but laughed.

So, on to P. Out the elevator, waving the keys like casting a spell over the area, and the reassuring beep of my car answered. Looking around, it's lights were blinking cheerily inviting us home. HAHAHA.

We got in the car and the first thing that came on the radio was about the bombing. I turned it off and put a children's audio book on but my mind was wondering what was going on.

Though the girls fell asleep on the way home, I didn't want to take a chance of having them wake and hear what about the bombing. Some things are better left to parents as to how to handle it.

It wasn't til they were happily dropped off that I was able to hear what happened.

It was a good day, with a bummer ending. But, I had a choice. Remember the day, the happy little girls, all the beauty that nature has to offer, or dwell on insanity. Still pondering all the things learned that day. Many lessons in everyday experiences.

If anyone has read this far, they deserve a medal. Thanks for reading and having compassion for a contemplative mood. May each of you have a wonderful rest of the day and evening.

SO, I hope you have a wonderful break with your girls and hope the concerts are as much fun as it sounds. Go and have fun and the rest of us will control the world and keep an eye on things while you're there. 8)

Oh, sweetie! I can tell you all kinds of normal and nice things. The amazing Em is talking more and more in words we can understand! Baby K is growing like a little weed. Youngest son is FINALLY talking to us all again, probably because he wants to come back home for the summer!LOLOL If anyone knows about college loans he can get without a co-signer, I'd appreciate hearing about them.

Let's see...the critters. Always good for a groan! Digger is living up to her name, I just wish she'd leave my poor grapes alone. I need to get some fencing. We'll probably have to get some dirt to fill in the holes. She's spreading the dirt out REALLY well. Buddy is bringing home a relatively new cow carcass home, one piece at a time. REALLY gross! I think my outside mama kittie might be pregnant. I'll know in a week or two.

It's warm today, finally, and the sky is a beautiful blue. No chemtrails in the sky. It's not too windy today, so no dust.

I don't know what's going on with all of this, but I'm calm. That, in itself, is unusual, but good. Whatever is happening, it isn't what it seems. All of this for one young man? I don't think so, but life goes on, Flav. It always has and always will. We're watching our world change, right before our eyes. How will it turn out? Idk, but it will be different from last week. We've all prepped as best we can, we've all learned so many things. We're amazing, intelligent, strong people. We will live our lives with all the grace and dignity we can muster. We MUST keep seeing good wherever it can be found, it will always still be there. It might be harder to find, but it'll be there. Look for that. Bad things are always easier to see, keep looking for good and love. It's in your heart, right where you left it. Promise.grouphug

Nines, good to hear from you, I know your probably lurking, but nice to chat. Yes the choices we have... much easier when others choices are not in your face. I love my house full of family but sometimes... I envy your solitude! Because of my niece, Boston is ALL I have been hearing about. From my kids chatting with her on FB, from my sister and brother in law, who of course worry with their daughter being a thousand miles away, I am the sounding board, I listen, knowing if it were my kid I may be the same way and want someone to talk with but damn I am sick of it.

I don't even turn the tv on during the day, but hubby does when he gets home and you cant help but get blurps and updates.

I was in the garden again today, yesterday I found 3 cornworms so I treated, didn't see any today. My corn is about 2 ft tall, green beans are latching on to the corn and all that is looking good. My first pepper looks like sometime next week it will be ready to pick and I have pinky sized cukes all over the place and many more flowers on the bushes.

So desperate am I to get away from all this, I went to walmart! I hate that place, at least the one around here, not the place but the people who shop there. Anyway, I went to the one over by the beach to get a new toaster oven, found the perfect one and wouldn't you know it, out of stock! So I ordered it online. I stopped at the Christmas post office on my way home, nothing to mail, that place just makes me feel good. Looks like a little log cabin and inside has a white mailbox with red stripes on it that says NORTH POLE LETTERS FOR SANTA ONLY, with a reindeer next to it. You should see that place in the season, people line up to mail Christmas cards with the postmark from Christmas Fl.

What a great day you had with the girls. Those kind of stories make me miss the younger days!

Glad it all worked out in the end for you and that the kids had such a good time that you wore them out and they slept in the car.

I don't think those eels could be cute in my eyes ever the way you described them, sound like slithering water snakes!

Those are the types of days memories are made with and can be talked about 20 yrs from now at the Thanksgiving table.

Re: Coffee Klatch

How very inspirational you are. You are very lucky to have the grandbabies to cherish, I know I will enjoy that when my time comes, right now I have my furry little Lucy and my not so furry handful Jake.

He fell in the pool this morning, I kept pulling him away and bringing him back to the deck but he was persistent in trying to go to the edge and walk around the damn thing.

I watched closely so as soon as he fell in I called him to the edge and scooped him out. Hopefully that will stick in his head for a while and make him leary of going near the edge again. His sight is very very poor and gets worse each day. His hair is all but gone, not sure if its from the diabetes, but its thinned to nothing and you can see his skin without moving the hair. He seems to be pretty content for the most part and not in pain or anything, sometimes you can tell he just doesn't feel well but he sleeps it off.

I have made a ton of soap the past week just staying away from news and keeping busy, trying new stuff just my own way of semi meditating when I do soap alone and nobody is home.

I am looking forward to getting away a few times this summer, it will be a well needed break from here.

So I guess for me its a combo of what is going on in the world around me and also in my own little world that's got me trying to make things better, but honestly, being the main caretaker of Jake makes it hard to do much in more than 4 hour increments unless I want to come home to pee all over my floors or him and his cage.

Re: Coffee Klatch
Just got back from a nice dinner out with the hubby. Nice and relaxing. Heard on the radio on the way home that they got the second guy. Hope that's all there was and that we can all slowly get back to normal over the next few weeks.

Everyone gets so shell shocked over these events, security get tightened everywhere and suddenly every day things become terrorist threats.

We had a race in Orlando last night and they were talking about cancelling it because of the fear from Boston, thankfully they didn't and stepped up the security and all was uneventful, thank god.

Also have my new computer on the fritz, the outlook program stopped working, it was a limited time demo which I didn't know, so now my emails have to be accessed from the old one till I get a copy of ms office to install on this computer. My old version wont work on windows 7. Its always something I tell ya. I ordered one and I should have it by Wednesday. Funny how 15 yrs ago I never even went on the computer and now my entire business and hubbys rely on it.

In addition, my oldest daughter is trying to buy a house, we found the perfect one only about a mile away and proceeded to enter a bidding war which we lost, she was very bummed. Shes the impulsive one and just wants a house now at this point, trying to tell her its not a car or piece of clothing that u can just trade in or toss when your done, don't buy it if u don't love it. Shes worried about price increases but still better to pay a little more and love what you have then pay a lot and not even have it be what you want from the start.

Re: Coffee Klatch
No, I wasn't lurking Flav. I'd have answered you right away if I was.

I'm trying real hard to not be envious. Your garden sounds wonderful. It must be so beautiful seeing those goodies growing. It sounds like you did a good job and it must be real productive...or will be...to have little cukes all over with more flowers on the bushes.

Reading the rest of it though. Ugh. Don't think anyone could deal well with what you're enduring.

It's really nice of you to be a sounding board for people, but just dang, when it starts affecting you, they need to shut up and put it in a journal or on facebook, depending on their reason for sharing. LOL. One thing to have someone listen, another to stick a straw in them and start sucking out their life force.

You've got a business that takes a lot of time and energy, and even though you enjoy some of it, there are parts that aren't so fun and things you don't want to do or deal with.
The web side, the partner side, the decisions that aren't easy to make. Those things add up.

On top of that, you're caring for a special needs dog. There's not enough that can be said for that. It takes a huge toll. Any of us that have done it know exactly what a toll it takes.

Whether it's the actual work, the timing of everything so you get home by a certain time, not being able to leave at all other times, or the feeding and vets, there's always something on your mind.

Though that is challenging, the emotional toll is the worst. It's a flat out heartbreaking job to do when you know it's not a short term problem you're dealing with. Short term, we can do about anything. Long term, it takes a huge toll on us. One we're glad to pay, but huge nonetheless. My heart just lurched it's way almost to Florida reading about Jake and the pool. You state it as an incident. What you don't state it the way it makes you feel. I hope you know that we know how it makes you feel without being told.

Added to that stress is all the things that have gone wrong lately. That alone would be overwhelming. The appliances, the water, now the computer that you depend on for both yours and hubby's business as well as whatever you want to look up. There's a limit to what anyone can take and I'd have reached mine long ago were I in your position. You've had more than anyone should have to deal with in a short amount of time.

Doesn't help about daughter and the house. Must be exciting and fun to look forward to, but even that has a complete set of stress to go with it.

It was really smart of you to choose to go somewhere that makes you feel good, and I'm glad you got a chance to go out to dinner. You need to do more of that.

You just can't be all things to all people all the time. Nope, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't be asking for some good news. I'd be either running away or curled in a fetal position on the floor crying my eyes out. LOL.

Hope you have a sunny day filled with love, nice weather and everything good that you deserve.
