I just got off the phone with oldest son, so, yeah. Things get WAY too complicated. I think I'll just build a stage in the living room. (sarcasm)

Oh noes. Have a feeling there's some drama involved. 1doh1

Hope I'm wrong.
 Quoting: Nine's

Just same crap, different day. Nothing I can do anything about. Oldest son is finding out he's married to a very selfish, young brat.
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

Wow,TB. Just what you need right now. If you don't have ulcers, it's a miracle. I'm glad your son is able to talk to you though. Horrible situation he's in and has to hurt you knowing it.
 Quoting: Nine's

No ulcers, just relux. Thankfully, the ACV capsules handle that well. I used to be on meds for it, but the side effects that the doc never mentioned, made me try ACV.

It's going to come to a head in the near future, I'm afraid. She wanted a baby, but she refuses to take care of her. Son and dil's mom takes care of the baby. Always has. It's not good. I'm surprised I still have a tongue intact, because I sure have to bite it when he calls.

He will be. It's just a couple of days shy of a month. Last time, the boss paid him just in time.

Makes it even harder for you. You want to know, but are wise enough to not say much, yet it bothers you knowing. No win about it is there?

Very sad for son. He shouldn't have to work all day and come home and care for a baby. She's going to find herself very lonely and looking back on her mistakes if she doesn't get it together soon. Not a situation you'd think can go on forever.

Fine here SO. Thanks for asking. Been doing some outside things to get ready for winter. It's getting chillier and chillier at night and I was determined to make it til Nov. before heating. Ha. No that much determination. Made me a fire tonight. Very fine thing. LOL.

You have a freeze warning already? Wow. We aren't that cold yet, but it should be soon. Think the locusts said around the 20th somewhere. Not many locusts this year and was wondering if the chickens got them. Only heard a few for a few nights and they were over a week late. They always start middle of July and scream til fall, but didn't this year.

Really makes you wonder with you getting a frost so early. Glad your son is coming to look at the heater. It's so uncomfortable being cold. brrrcold

Up in the panhandle, they have a hard freeze warning tonight. There's already been a little snow in NE New Mexico. I just checked the NOAA website and they've dropped next weeks temperatures, too. At least Sunday will still be warm!! I've got to mow for the last time.

I didn't hear many locusts up there, either. I wondered about that.

I can't figure out the freeze so early, either. Last year, they changed our growing season to be longer. It's weird.

How interesting. Haven't been keeping up on weather reports. In my mind, you're still outside it shorts and t's enjoying the sun! Wonder how many times it's happened that you had a freeze there, before here? What's the daytime temp going to be tomorrow? Summer never seems to last long enough here, but bet you feel the cooler weather is welcome after the summer heat, don't you?

Glad to hear things are going ok. We have been doing the same thing. Seems the frost hit early - I have had frost on my car window for the last week. Broke down and turned the heat on a couple of weeks ago. The nights have been pretty chilly here. I sure miss having a fireplace.

Hubby did not get his deer - not for lack of trying though. He had two shots but missed and discovered the stock/barrel were separating on his gun. So, now deer for now and the gun went to the gunsmith. He is going out again this weekend. I don't think he will have time for any more camps though, just up early and out till dusk.

66 tomorrow. At least the wind has stopped. We should still be in t shirts around here. I think the last time it got this cold this early was about 19 years ago. It snowed on Halloween.

It would feel better if the heat was on in the house! I'll be dripping faucets tonight and diving under the covers early, if I can.

Wow. Guess we've been really lucky in this area. Guess it's time, but hate to see the cold come. Bet you do miss a fireplace and sure wish you had one. Seems like a "real" fire can warm you like no other heating.

It's a good thing hubby noticed that gun. Sounds like it could be dangerous. Don't know much about them, but it sounds real creepy. Was thinking about the truck breaking down. Maybe it was keeping him from using it so much. Glad he discovered it.

We aren't sure when the damage occurred. He took it out to site it in before the season, guess it just got worse after firing it a few times. Glad he put it up rather than tried to use it any more.

You are right about a wood fire - it heats like nothing else. Before we bought our house we lived in a rental with a fireplace and I sure miss it.

I'm glad he noticed the gun thing too. I'd hate to see him hurt himself or someone else due to a gun malfunction.

The truck repair turned out to only be $100, the tow was $225. Another $75 for the gunsmith. "Free" Deer meat is expensive!

I know a bit about the broken heart. Looks like the kids will divorce. They just can't make it work as a married couple. I hope at some point they get the friendship back. I know it's a long shot but I still hope it works - they were great friends but terrible as a married couple. They have been living separate for 4 months now and both seem to be doing better.

I'm not sure it really is the military, although that is a factor. I think it was more that they went from best friends to marriage in a blink of an eye. They thought they really knew each other so they could pass over the whole dating thing. Now I think there was a reason they didn't date. They just didn't have the romance factor and you just can't skip that part. They were always more like siblings and you know how siblings are. Always fussing and fighting with each other.

If they've been good friends for that long, I'm sure they'll be able to keep it. It may take a little bit and feel pretty awkward, but I bet they find a way. I can't imagine never talking to my best friends again, no matter what. After I was divorced, I dated one of my guy friends a couple of times. Thankfully, he was smarter than I was at the time. We're both married to other people and still friends. There's hope, mom, promise!

I sure hope so! I swear that boy ate more dinners at our table than he did at home. They shared so much growing up, I'd hate to see it get lost in ugliness. So far so good, they are very amicable about the divorce.

Re: Coffee Klatch
Wow
I missed a good chat, although a lot of heartbreak. Its sad in both cases to see a marriage split, but I think in TB's case it is a blessing. From what you have told us in the past few years she really is a brat and living with inlaws just cant be any fun for him. That must be why she insisted living with them, to shove off the parental responsibility on her parents. She knew she would have to step up to the plate in her own home.

SO, I hope the kids to rekindle the friendship and can even divorce on a friendly note. I have seen it happen a few times and it worked out well for both. They still were able to be together with friends and it wasn't awkward. They just realized that they were friends forever but not able to live as a couple.

Oh, heat, glorious heat!!! Oldest son got my wall furnace up and running!

I got to see the baby today, too. She's getting SO big! Maybe I'm worrying too much about the kids. Everything seemed just fine today. Everyone, including me, seems to be a bit more snarky these days. Maybe that's all it is.

I know, guys. Please don't burst my bubble. I have to hope.

My kitties are too smart! Momma and her 2 babies are still in my bathroom. They'll be going outside sometime this week. Somehow, they sloshed their water on the floor again. Now get this one. They pulled a roll of paper towels down onto the floor, right on the spill. They made a wad of towels over the water. Unfortunately, they left the roll in the water too! I've never had cats do THAT before! LOL They just looked up at me like, "see, we fixed it!".

Glad you got your heat going TB. And happy that things seemed to go well with the kids.

Poor little kitties will get used to the heat and not want to go out. Guess you still have warm days though, for them to get used to it. They sound adorable...and a lot of work. 8)

SO, I'm sorry hearing about the kids. Has to be a world of hurt for you...and them. Very sad.
