Baby update! Sil's protein count is below 300, that' good. Her bp is still high, but dr. isn't as worried, but...the big one dr. didn't explain to the kids. Sil is dilated to a fingertip. That would be, what? About 1 1/2-2 cm? When I told my son she shouldn't be dilated at all yet, he didn't know what to say. She goes back to dr.'s on Monday. I say, if she makes it that long. Anything to get out of going to the shower!!LOL Her cousin just did that last month. She was in labor when HER shower was going on! I hope it isn't going to turn into a family tradition!

**edit** DIL not sil. See explanation below!

He's learning, you play, you pay!LOL Oh, I wish my grandpa were here! He'd have a TON to say, most of it would STILL make me blush!

Hi, Sloane! I was wondering how you made out with the snow. Thanks for the kind thoughts. My dil is on bedrest until the baby comes with pre-eclampsia.

We started a new thread to chat on. Most of us were regulars on Tiny Green's thread, but she hasn't been on in quite awhile. We were starting to get posts that weren't very nice and no way to take them off. So...we started a new one. Anyone is welcome. Good to see you again, and, I LOVE the tree!

***edit***Grandma is having a major senior moment!! It's my DIL, not sil!

So my microwave took a crap yesterday, its a built in, so 2 weeks till I get my new one.

I am grateful I wasnt born in the pioneer days!

Also bought my new computer, have a guy coming over to get all the stuff off one and onto the other.

Seems its small but expensive electronics I cant live without month around here. I tell ya one buck comes in and two go out!

Hard eight.. you should make a bet that something else in my house will stop working at the most inconvient time! Its a sure win
 Quoting: flavapor

Aw Flav! You always seem to have things break at the same time. Yikes! Hopefully, it'll go better than the last time.

Hey, I have a question for you. I want to make sachets for the babies dresser drawers. What kind of scent would smell kind of like baby powder or do they make one that smells like that? I have no idea and you ARE the queen of scents!
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

lolsign I'm hoping you are done replacing and repairing for awhile. Maybe new kitten would really put you over the top.

Um... no thanks! I have a crazy cat, two pigs that think they are dogs, my daughters two dogs, one that has diabetes and is like having an infant around, not to mention my my four slobs and a daughter!

I hope I'm not boring everyone with baby stuff, but I found this tutorial site for fleece blankets. Absolutely NO sewing knowledge needed!! I'm making mine this way, because I've never thought fringe and babies went well together. I know, I'm a worry wart sometimes. This is the page for single layer blankets. There's a big link for double layer. Both pages are good to read before you make one, they have a couple of different tips.

[link to helpinglittlehands.blogspot.com]

These don't have to be baby blankets, either. You can edge a large blanket this way, too. You would just need more yardage.

Its the 3rd cylinder. Our friend is a master mechanic for Nissan which is what I have. So he is going to get the parts at work tomorrow and fix it for me saturday. He hooked it up to a machine and it told him what was wrong in a few seconds.

I bought a 12 pack and Pete, our friend threw a few back, so Im good now

Yes, I am ready to snap! I was gonna go shopping tomorrow with SIL, now, I still am gonna go, probably just buy more shit! Better than having a pity party!

When I told my mom her response ( I love my flower child mom) "maybe its your higher self telling you to get new shit"

She totally cracks me up. Everyone else has the normal response, like you guys have, but not mom, she tells me subconciously I want new stuff.

lovenflowers

Jake is fine Nines, he has had another adjustment, and it seems to be working well for him, he even wanted to play a little the other day, which he hasnt done in months.

Damn, you are not having good luck with devices so far this year!

I had a crappy day with electronics also ~ our largest supplier of garage door openers made a few system changes to the circuit board. So now, I have problems with brand new units out of the box! It's so lovely to deal with the tech support people that should know more than I do about their product....not! Thank goodness my customers understand I will do whatever it takes to get it fixed. I spent 6 hours today just dealing with this crap. At one point the tech support guy said "We haven't had anyone report that issue before", I had 5 this week. I told him I was calling bullshit and said transfer me up the chain of command. I ended up with the head of quality control and the head of electrical components. Now maybe we will get to a resolution. I hate when they think that because I am female they can just read some bs off a cheat sheet and think I will go away.

Well, glad to hear it will all be okay with the car and that Jake is fine!

Well it is Thursday...dance night for the oldest. Made our trek the back way again and of course 4 deer had to cross in front of me. Held up traffic to make sure the last one crossed safely! I am such a nervous wreck whenever I drive that route! They are everywhere.

Hope everyone is doing well today!

I have a new book on my nook, and now I am not even gonna touch that thing till I get thru my bad streak.

Sherrilyn Kenyon has alot of great series, but my fav is the darkhunter series, if you havent read them you should get them on your kindle, just make sure you get them in the right order.

I imagine they do. I love the online library, it's just too easy to check out and return. I still find it funny that they only have so many copies available for check out. I guess it has to do with the number of licenses they buy for each one.
