I know what you mean. I made shelves, bought garbage cans for storage, there is not even room for dust bunnies under the bed. LOL

We're renting for now, so we can't do anything permanent. I looked at the big box stores for shelves and didn't like them or they were the wrong size. One of the guys at Lowes used to work at Sauders and reminded me of them. I checked out their website and found one I liked for the kitchen. I hope it works.

The other issue is my mom passed away a year ago and I have very little room for the few things I took. Most of it is her geneology stuff. I'm still trying to organize that after my brother made a mess of it. Thankfully, we have a huge garage. Our poor SUV has never seen the inside of it. LOL

Re: Coffee Klatch
I made the mistake of organizing everything not long ago. Now I can not find anything and keep looking for things I need that got thrown away in the process. I knew where things were before I re-organized and forgot where I moved it to.
My memory is getting so bad as well as my eye sight. I have decided to list, label and map out where everything is, the pantry, the deep freeze, closets, under the bed, the tools and parts, the shed, everything. I am so tired of spending all my time looking for what I need, not being able to find it and forgetting what I do have.
A two hour job of rebuilding the lawn mower took two days, most of it looking for my stuff or where I just put the dang tool I just had my hand and my glasses. I get more worn out looking for stuff than doing the job at hand.

Sorry I left y'all. The shelves got here and we got it put together. They said it would take 2 hours. Hah!! More like 3 1/2! I just poked in for a few. Our internet is acting up. I'll try again later.

I just buried the old cat under her favorite apple tree. I decided not to be sad, she had a great life living free in the woods like me. She out lived most cats, she was brave and would take on all wild animals big and small to protect the chickens. She is no longer suffering in her old age. bye bye kiki

a little tribute to the funny times. Every fall she would pack the house with live mice for winter food and activity. They were everywhere, in my shoes and so on. I could never break her from that. We get snowed in for long winters. She would set out a little cat food to lure them out. She would take them to her cardboard play box and keep them like kittens and toys under her paw. I would clean all the floors only to find little piles of cat food she set out for the mice.
She loved the garden and only walked on the paths paroling for rodents. She was protective of the plants we would grow indoors and move to the garden like her babies. The first garden cat I ever knew of.
She would bring me her dinners to share, rabbits and grouse, mice and so on. She would go nuts when I came home from fishing for fresh trout.
She liked to sleep on my feet and keep them warm.
I might need to get a kitten for my winter companion this year, it will not be the same alone snowed in without kiki.

I decided to open up about my little old kitty loss today, knowing how serious Beeches and Tigers situations are, hoping it might help them to also open up. I worry about them. They have been through hell and I want to make sure they, well you know. The worst part about my husbands loss was feeling so alone, like no one cared.

LOL I have never had a cat, they have found and had me. This time I might have to find one. There is a wild one that shows up from time to time that looks just like the BOB wild cat that stopped visiting a few years back. He showed up as a baby one Christmas morning coved in snow and stayed for a few years. I think he got you know. You guys help me identify him as a siberian forest cat.

OOOOHHHH! Lucky you! Do you have coyotes where you live? I had to catch my barn cats every night, so they wouldn't be a snack. I lost a bunch that thought they knew better and wouldn't be caught.

They sure wouldn't with those predators. Out in west Texas, we mostly had coyotes and hawks. We did have a cougar once. Our neighbor saw it one morning. Her husband sent some photos to A&M to identify. They knew what cat it was by the paw print. I didn't see it. Wish I had. I love big cats. Right now as long as they're at the zoo! LOL

My guys had a tree next to the house that they could climb and jump over to the roof. If they were on the back side, they would climb the power pole next to the garage. They'd stay up there forever!

I just got my sense of smell and taste back for the first time sense December when I treated my unknown flu with a few days of booze in a hot hot bath. I have been bleaching everything like hell, every thing sticks, cleaned the carpet and stopped adding so much sugar and salt to my coffee and food. It went gradually away and I did not notice so much When I brought my last surviving chicken living out side in the cold winter into the house. Oh shit, kicked my last surviving chicken outside, she is heart broken. LOL
I live an isolated life alone in the woods but order my stuff online, often direct from china. I think I got it early before anyone knew. I have asbestose lungs and all that from years of construction work but it got a lot worse. If I had neighbors they would call the cops of me for all my coughing.

There is no recourse for asbestos exposure when you deliberately worked under the table after hours as a young widow to take care of your babies. I have no one to blame, not even myself. I did what I had to do. I would have worn a better mask. LOL

Sorry about the dude thing. Been hanging out with the guys too much.

Yeah, I hear that. I was a single mom for quite awhile, too. You have to feed the babies. It's a hard row to hoe, for sure. You have my respect, ac. Don't be a stranger, ok?

That's true. I'm an oldie now too. I have half an idea about writing down stories and memories of our family, out to my grands and greats for my kids and grandbabies. Just have to tumble it around in my head for awhile.
