Geez, give me a minute before you start bumping. Just saw Flavapor calling me to come out in May. I'm old and don't hustle like old times. LOL.

Good to see you and the others who have shown up, both old and new. Hope everyone is doing as well as expected. Nice to see some new ones here too.

Boy, I'm having issues with this laptop tonight! Everything went poof again when I hit post.

Sorry. I don't hustle too well these days either. Ain't it fun!? You got me back with that smilie, though! LOL

Isn't that frustrating! I won't hound you for the update on all that's going on because it's so late, but will be eagerly waiting for it.

Many people now with health issues, loss of loved ones, and feeling overwhelmed.

Some of those roads we travel down are the last ones we dreamed we'd be on....again. Guess it makes us stronger...until we collapse. LOL. But, it's summer and that's wonderful! And we're here, and that's wonderful!

Yay! So good to see you back with all your wit. Do you still have your racoon friend and other furry friends? Has anyone heard from Mama, the New Zealand name that was Taragna or something similar or Oregon something?? Cant remember their user names. awesome dog

Awww, thank you for the silly little beagle boy. Yes, Dudely and family are still here. Everyone present and accounted for.

Haven't heard from Mama, but wish we would. She is a super person and it would be great to hear from her. Think Tauranga is still here under a different name.

You still have any piggies or cows?

Was sorry to read about your niece and hope she heals well and completely very soon. Stay well yourself too!

We just have cows now. Pigs are too prolific! We had three pigs one day and 27 the next day. Talk about a shocker.

Thats when we got rid of all but one. Then when Orion got so big he was costing us a fortune so we gave him to a guy in the next town over who fixed our fence.

Orion was a pig but he thought he was a loyal shepard or lab. He actually sat when we told him to. Followed us around and my husband loved all 400+ lb of him. If I wasnt around that pig would have been in the house and had its own bed.

He was really sweet and loved to play frisbee and ball. When we would leave the pasture he would look so sad.

The guy who fixed our fence thought he was great and kept commenting that we had a really special pig and he reminded him of Arnold from green acres. He lived alone and we asked him if he would like him and he said yes.

About a week later he came back over and thanked us, said he has coffee on the porch with him every morning and that Orion keeps him company all day working in the yard. The guy fixed trucks on the side, and Orion had free run of 5 acres, including the porch.

We saw him again about a yr later and he had all sorts of pics of Orion laying on the porch and eating tomatoes, etc so I know he treated him like a faithful four legged friend and they probably both enjoy each others company.

27 piglets!?! How many sows did you have? That's a bunch. I'm glad you found a home for Orion. After you get close to an animal and see their personality, kind of hard to eat them.

Wow, Flav, thank you so much for telling us about Orion. Sitting here with misty eyes. So happy for everyone. Poor hubby though, but maybe he takes comfort in knowing how happy he is. It sounds like it worked out well for everyone.

Pigs are the most intelligent creatures. Supposedly smarter than dogs. I've heard people even train them to use a littler box, but that's probably the little mini pigs.

Wish the people down the road could train theirs to use the litter box. When the wind is out of the west, sometimes there's a real piggy smell. LOL. Thanks again!

It split 2 of my tomato plants right at the bottom. Got them staked better, but I need to get some tape to wrap them.

I just went outside to bring chair cushions in and it's too still and humidity is really high. Just checked the radar. It's just west of you, but doesn't look bad. NB is going to get a good soak. I don't know if we'll get it. Mil always says the lake protects us.

Just laid down and smelled the air. Rain in the air. Then the thunder rumbles. Rain is almost here. Hope your maters come out ok. Wonder if vet wrap, that stretchy reusable stuff would bond it together without harming the plant? Anyway, g'nite for real this time. Maybe. 8)

Well guys, it might just be us on here. I checked my buddy list night and I noticed Tauranga (T) (I don't have schwa symbol! Who knew) She had one on each side of the T. had deleted her account. I was going to message everyone to come over and noticed she had gone. I never ran into her here.

We just got back from a Sam's run. They are really trying hard to hide the empty spaces in our store. They've moved product all over again. We were able to get almost everything we went in for, but I want to go again soon.

I havent been to a store in a while. Occasionally the grocery store for fresh produce or fish, but I bought in bulk back in January and I should be ok for a few months at least.

I grew a garden this year, it was producing like crazy. I was eating green beans and radishes and my cucumbers were growing like they were on steroids. I was giving them another few days to get bigger before starting to pick them, well my dear husband fertilized it EVERYDAY FOR A WEEK! Now I have nothing but two tomato plants. They were the only thing to survive it. I wanted to ring his neck. I made him feel so bad, but damn it, I worked hard slinging cow shit over from the pasture and tilling it all in the dirt, planting the seeds and then laying hay down on all of it.

I know he was trying to help, but I went out there and said I think the sprinkler isnt coming on and he said he watered. The next day it looked even more wilted. Within three more days every leaf turned white. I have never seen plants just turn white like they were doused with clorox or something.

Now I am starting more green beans because I love them and we have a long growing season here, but I doubt I will get much of it canned. I dont think I will have enough time for that much. Peas and brocoli will go in late August unless its still way to hot.

I'm worried about a couple of my plants. The leaves on one of the watermelon plant is curling up. The other one seems fine. My zucchini plants don't seem to be doing much. just inch long squash. Tomato plants, on the other hand seem to be just fine. I hope they'll hurry though. For some reason, I keep thinking they should be moving along more than they are.

Your garden sounds so very awesome and I'm so sorry for what happened. All the hard work, the time, energy, pride, and yummy veggies. That destruction would feel as bad as finding like smashed kittens or baby birds. LOL. It had to have been such a shock seeing it.

Small comfort, but you are so blessed to have a guy that tries to help, even if it does go wrong sometimes. It's worth far more than any amount of vegetables.....but I praise your restraint for not murdering him. LOL. You'll have another garden just as good or better. If not, there's always the pool. sunnywthr

I got lucky today at Meier's. They had 1 hot water bath canner left. I'm hot sure mine made the move, so I bought it.I have a ton of stuff to go through in the garage. Our stuff that I didn't have time to go through when we got here and stuff from my mom's.

My bil has a pear tree in his backyard and he said I could come and get some. Looks like remedial canning 101. Wish I could find the rest of my cookbooks. They weren't where I thought they would be.

Aaaww! I'm sorry. Don't feel bad. When my kidneys shut down a few years ago, I'm pretty sure I lost some brain cells. I don't remember how to do things on the computer that I used to sail right through. It doesn't help I bought myself a laptop and it has windows 10, of course. The desktop still has 7 or xp. Thank you, and likewise my friend. Things are fine here. The weather has been perfect. Makes you glad to be alive and thankful for all that is around us.

That color code thingy is so ironic. It reminds me of codes little kids make before they can read or use logic, each color representing something in their secret club. None of it makes sense and they know it, but they keep altering it and using it. LOL.

I thought the whole state was red. Each county is a different color, but the entire state is red. Bet there are many little secret clubbers out there admiring the work and dedication that went into the elaborate planning,

That sounds like a good plan to wait til next year to use your passes. You don't want to get sick and still be recovering when things are all open again. Lotsa paranoid people out there now anyway. Good to stay safe.
