Sorry I was out of the loop, I was prepping the yard and house in case the hurricane hit here. It looks like it may, but I think it will be more of a water event for us since we are already saturated and our daily storms are flooding yards.

I am about 20 directly west of Cape Canaveral, so I am keeping an eye on this one.

TB I know you said your MIL cooks still but one thing I started doing several yrs ago for my grandmother, (yes I still have her and she is 102!) is when I make dinner for my family I make her frozen plates, like tv dinners. She doesnt eat much and sometimes leftovers will make two plates.

It started a few years ago when her arthritis in her back got really bad and she cant do much of anything for any period of time. We were sitting and she told me that everything is such a chore because to cook dinner, she will get to the kitchen and peel potatoes and have to sit. Then she will go back to them and wash and cut them and turn them on to boil and then sit, you get the picture. Making dinner was a half day event for her but she likes to eat a full meal at dinner.

That year I made the frozen meals for her starting in September and kept them in my freezer until Christmas. That is what I gave her as a Christmas gift because I always struggle with what to get her, after all aside from a walmart giftcard, what does a 100+ lady really need???

Well she called me and told me how much she loved that gift. I thought she was just being kind but then my aunt and uncle both called me over the next few weeks and told me how granny just kept talking about that being such a help and best gift to her. Now she gets them for Christmas and her birthday, plus whenever I go up to see her. Maybe if you did that she wouldnt need as much stuff. Just load the freezer with precooked meals that just need heating. Our pharmacies now deliver for free since the covid outbreak so you should look into that too. That way you could just go see her for company and not have to get to so many stores.

My grand daughter is starting kindergarten as well, but she is a size 5-6 so holy moly your grand daughter IS tall!
