As long as some people own guns illegaly such as the AR-15 and AK47s (Gangs and Criminal Underworld) then law abiding citizens should be allowed to own similar weapons. All these anti-gun people dont make sense.

Quite possibly the MOST powerful ad I have seen in a long long time. Perfectly done. They need to do whatever it takes to run that ad non-stop.

This damned nra is the greatest threat to my legally owned guns. With their irrational opposition to any and all gun safety regulations, they will eventually create such a backlash from the fed up citizenry that they will bring about their own death as an organization.

I agree 110% Love the motto "Stand and Fight". If that isn't a message one doesn't exist. Would make a fantastic ad on MSM if not out there already. Strong motivational ad and what gives it ultimate strength is the basic truth within that most of us have forgotten or dismissed as what America used to be and stand for. Makes you feel good again to see this.

From the replies, it seems that the NRA is doubling down on the fringe and moving away from the middle. Its not a winning strategy. The NRA's political muscle comes in its ability to sway elections.

Or at least, did. They had the worst record for backing candidates of any major political organization. In the last election, NRA support was the touch of death to a campaign.

If this persists, they'll be little impetus for candidates to care much what the NRA thinks. As they won't have the ability to significantly impact elections.

Especially given the *overwhelming* public support for most of the president's plan. With approaching 90% of the public supporting universal background checks and even 3 in 4 NRA members supporting them. With an overwhelming majority supporting clip size limits.

The assault weapons's ban has a bare majority opposing it (51%), with 44% supporting. That measure probably won't pass.

But given that the NRA opposes *any* gun regulation, even those pieces that the supermajority of its own members supports, they're only marginalizing themselves.

Like the Republican Party in 2010 purged its moderates and doubled down on fringe politics (to their folly in 2012), so too does the NRA seem to be purging its moderates in favor of the fringe.

Which is a much, much narrower base.

I hope that Obama declares the NRA a terrorist organization. A gun organization putting out an ad saying to fight the government is a threat of domestic terrorism.

Besides the observations above, Americans haven't figured out yet that born and bred Americans or Americans with a Judeo-Christian cultural reference are finished. The country is lost to them and NRA supporters anyway. It was lost a long, long time ago. So relying on the support of political parties or worse to be concerned about the ability to sway an election which will NOT happen with the present DEMOGRAPHIC of the country anyway is just fear mongering. The NRA and "their" people as I said lost the elections a long, long time ago, some of them are starting to figure that out. Finally.

ANY REPORTS ON WHERE THIS AD IS BEING SHOWN? I wonder if CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS would actually air it, even if the airtime was purchased.
