They do it with other farm raised fish too.

Also....the feed they give these fish comes from ground up animal carcasses and leftovers and they mix it and reduce it to feed pellets.
If the animal carcass had MAD COW...you could end up with it.

It was in another Dirty Jobs episode about animal feed and fish food.
They are trying to poison us all.


Only buy NON-FARM RAISED.....it's the only way to be sure.

They're even using Talapia and reshaping it and coloring it to look like more expensive cuts of fish and it sells like hotcakes. People have no idea what they're buying and eating.

Tilapia is like the tofu of fish.

i.e. neither one - tilapia nor soy - originally meant for human consumption.

I only order Beef or Pork anyway, sometimes chicken. Once a year or so we wind up in a seafood restaurant. If I have to order fish, I get something preferably fried that I can slather in Tartar Sauce.

I do like Sushi Rolls which always have some kind of fish.

I'm a fisher(woman) at heart! I remember going fishing with my father in his boat. I remember all the buckets of shrimp, and great real seafood off the Key West coast, closer to Cuba!
Then I lived in Cape Cod most of my life so my taste buds are used to the best seafood!

It's a cheap fish to harvest.

I was referring to the fact that shrimp and lobster are bottom feeders but that doesn't make them any less a popular seafood. I wasn't bashing anyone.
And I loves me some shrimps.
