I am not even sure what to say to this. Is it just me or do atheists get offended and feel discriminated against a lot? They seem to be the people whining the loudest and the first to scream that they feel offended when anyone has a different view than they do.

"Extensive discrimination by governments against atheists, humanists and the non-religious occurs worldwide," declared the grouping, the International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU) which has some 120 member bodies in 45 countries.

At first glance, and perhaps beyond, Ashu Solo has a thoroughly rational justification for being such a prig about religion.

“This isn’t supposed to be a Christian city or a Christian country. This is a secular nation filled with all kinds of religious and spiritual people, atheists and agnostics,” he said Tuesday about his latest attempt to save the people of Saskatoon from being confronted by public displays of religious faith. If church and state are to be divided, that means just what it says: divided. As in separate. Not overlapping. The state doesn’t tell you what god to believe in, or whether to believe in any god at all. And God doesn’t tell you how to vote.

"A lawsuit seeking the removal of a Jesus statue near a Montana ski resort will go on after a national group of atheists and agnostics produced a local member who says he is offended by the religious symbol whenever he swooshes down the slopes.

The Knights of Columbus and four individuals had asked a judge to throw out the legal challenge because the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation had not named anyone actually harmed by the statue on federal land next to Whitefish Mountain Resort."
