Went to Wal-Mart - No Handgun or Rifle Ammo - Only Shotgun ammo - Eye opening observation

I'm pretty well stocked, but wanted to pick up some cheap stuff for practice.

I walked into the local gun store and purchased the last 4 boxes of CCI Mini Mag .22lr. 4 x 100. $8.99 a box. I've got plenty of the bulk pack but jumped on this deal. This will be the new gold. Can u imagine what u can barter for with it?

Went to bass pro and gander mountain they only had a few hand guns and NO ammo for handguns. All they had was for shotguns. They did have some hand guns and some ammo at a local tactical store but their dicks and the mark up on the ammo is so high. While I was in their a girl and guy came in and was looking to sell some ammo to them. They were highly interested.

I was at the wal-mart the other day, and I looked at the ammo supply there just out of curiousity, there was only a few boxes of rifle ammo, 30-06 and 7mm Rem, only pistol ammo was 5 50 rd. boxes 40 s&w, a little bit of 22 long and short, there was a shitload of 12 Ga. target ammo, no slugs or other hunting ammo.
Shit's not looking good here, folks.

California : My W.Mart has been out for months. Limit here is 3 boxes. The 3 box limit went into effect 3 weeks ago . There is no ammo. O.k. maybe 30 boxes in a case that holds hundreds. Government is buying it all up. All calibers,that is the only explanation.

Can you clowns tell me why you waited until the last fucking minute to decide to get your shit????I bet most of you dudes go out to eat all the time and don't have any food stockpiled either!!!!!!

I get paid on a monthly basis and I try to buy a little of everything.Ammunition is gold so I'm staCKING. I do like to hear what is going on across the country and Wal Mart is a bell weather. There has been many that have tried to minimize any boots on the ground reporting about the lack of ammo @ w.mart. The fact is , there seems to be more to the ammo shortage then meets the eye. I think everyone should be warned and buy ammo now,if you can. I also believe that demand should catch up with supply and prices should drop. This is not happening.If everyone would buy an extra 100 rounds every moth like I have been the manufacturers can gear up and crank out more ammo.It will also send a clear message that joe 6 pack likes to have a strategic reserve of stockpiled ammo,just like our beloved government.

was at wal farts tonight also. Always go over to see if they got anything any. Bare as ever, not even any 12 gauge, some .410 and 20 gauge. 17HMR, and a few boxes of .243

The other thing you can do is get on line and check wall marts across the country or across town.Pick an ammo and start surfing. THERE IS VERY LITTLE . I just got done with a search and it didn't matter where it was.Found 100 round boxes of 223 in Va. Real spotty .

I have not been able to purchase any 22s since December. Dicks, Walmart, and most independent gun stores sell out within hours after the trucks come, and they keep that a secret. People are panic hoarding and its making weapons manufacturers rich. And who do you think controls these arms corporations anyways? I'm no fan of gun control at all, but I'm not a fan of fascist companies who are in bed with the bonesmen322 conducting false flags so they can profit of weapons sales. Let there be 3d printing technology for tools of self defense in he hands of all people equally as all things should be.

Shotguns are poor when your target is far away.

It is safer to aim from far away and kill then to get close and risk the gun being turned on yourself.

I was reading a post on another forum. The guy gets on their 'notification list' for what he wants. I think he said he gets a text message whenever they get it in stock. And that may be in the middle of the night. He gets up immediately and places the order.

I havent seen any evidence that any of this is caused by any increase in sales to the gov in the past 2 months since all this started.

It looks like its all caused by greatly increased demand from the public since Newtown, and thats when it started.
