first of all, it's not 3375 miles wide, and if it was it would be huge damage. that's about the same size as the moon. and you need to take in account what the speed of the comet is (which it is fast) and what it's made of. it would definitely still do damage if it hit though, as the article said. it won't "split mars in half" or "knock it off orbit" like these glp tards say though.

remember it's mass times velocity. A grain of sand traveling at the speed of light has the same impact as an asteroid of 2 mi diameter traveling at 30 mi per second...

Astronomers know that they don't know where the next comet is going to come from or where it will go, but at least astronomy can lead to its discovery when it gets close enough. That's not BS, that's real discovery, and it's much more useful than trying to get that information out of some idiot who thinks it's all "mumbo-jumbo bs."

No. It wont knock it right out of orbit or our system. It has the potential to move it slightly in a planetery sense and I only say that b/c our own earthquakes on earth have moved our own orbit ever so slightly (2008 Sumatra moved Earfs orbit about an inch if I remember right). So if the proposed mag 12.x EQ on Mars happened, I imagine between the impact and gloabl tremors, shit would be moving. A whole lotta shit.
