You gotta buy fair trade/equal exchange coffee to be sure the workers are getting fair pay. It tastes better too.

Speaking of tea... I drink coffee and tea both...

I have noticed that a cup of Earl Grey a day helps reduce my knee pain... Must be the Bergamot?

lets start the new day off at GLP with Coffee Doom

Coffee is already high enough... im sure this will not bode well on the already expensive brew... as far as price and quantity availability...

Strike a deal with the farmers so they can get back to work!

Re: COFFEE DOOM!
I recently opened a jar of Folger's instant coffee that had expired in 2010. I wamted to see if the coffee was still good. It is. Not as good as fresh brewed, but the instant tasted fine. The jar was in a prep supply I keep.

I would not do this with food, but I think coffee and tea are different. In a world gone mad, I believe you could barter with coffee and tea.

I need my coffee. It's the only thing keeping alive.

Any doom but coffee doom !

Re: COFFEE DOOM!
falling international prices???

A LB of coffee that is not big branded like D&D or Starbucks cost $14! Those big branded LB bags cost $28.

The prices of coffee has been on the rise for the past two years. Even mcdonalds is putting a higher price for their coffee and charging extra for the cup.

Re: COFFEE DOOM!
Mmmm coffee.

Coffee beans here cost about $0.75 a kilo from the farmers. Massive markup by the middlemen.
 Quoting: BuggedOut

False. Fresh beans need to be graded, washed, packaged, dated, stored, roasted, transported, ground, marketed, and all those things cost money (and are taxed).

Not a lot different to 2006 pricing right now.
