Binary Asteroid Didymos heading our way, but they're going to intercept it!
How many of you have heard about Didymos?
Try to google it, and not much of info, well since the last week. Why, because of Russian meteor, because of the one that will most likely smash into Mars, and because "they" can't hide the truth anymore

it's that obvious that Earth is screwed if international community does not act NOW, and stop wasting time and lives on wars and hate!

Although they say - "Didymos poses no risk to our planet, but will come close enough to be observable by 1-2 m-diameter telescopes on Earth before and after the strike."

That's pretty funny when we all know how nobody knew that something will fall "out of nowhere" on Feb.15 and cause huge damage and over 1200 injured.

"For the last two years, (far from the public eyes obviously) ESA has been working with international partners on the mission concept, dubbed AIDA. Last week, research centres each side of the Atlantic agreed the spacecraft would target asteroid Didymos.

Currently under study, the mission would intercept Didymos around the time of the asteroid's closest approach to within 11 million km of Earth in 2022.

Didymos is a 'binary', with two asteroids orbiting each other - one is roughly 800 m across, the other about 150 m."

Is this a test for predictted Apophis' Earth Encounters in 2029 and 2036?

A joint mission between Europe and the US is working on a project to slam a spacecraft into an asteroid in 2022, in a bid to prove that incoming objects from space can be knocked off path and stopped from colliding with earth.

ESA's proposed Asteroid Impact and Deflection Assessment mission now has a target: asteroid Didymos.

The recent Russian meteor and, on the same day, our planet's close encounter with an even larger chunk of celestial debris underline the need for us to learn more about these high-speed space rocks.

yeah to learn, or it's time for a battle lol yoda

but now the target is "official"

Planetary Defense is a concept very few people heard of or took seriously – that is until last week's humongous and totally unexpected meteor explosion over Russia sent millions of frightened residents ducking for cover, followed just hours later by Earth's uncomfortably close shave with the 45 meter (150 ft) wide asteroid named 2012 DA14.

Moscow believes an operable national defense against threats from outer space can be built within 10 years’ time.

The 500-kiloton explosion of a space bolide above the Urals region has sped-up allocation of some $2 billion to prevent future threats.

Asteroid threat is growing by the year

“There are a lot of asteroids orbitingclose to Earth and every year up to 1,000 more are being discovered,” Lidia Rykhlova said, specifying that three years ago the number of known asteroids passing close to our planet was about 7,000 and now their number has grown up to around 9,400.

Most of the relatively large asteroids, with a diameter of one kilometer and larger are already known.

“We know about 90 per cent of kilometer-class asteroids, their orbits are well known and predictable. As for the smaller 40-50 meter ones – we still have insufficient observation apparatus. The more we observe – the more of them we find,” Rykhlova acknowledged.

If the space object is discovered beforehand, at least a month prior to possible collision with Earth, there is time to find out its size and consider various measures of its elimination.

The execution of a really complicated operation will require at least a year, Rykhlova pointed out.

“Therefore our emergency aid is a rocket with a nuclear warhead,” she concluded.

Slaming asteroids will do nothing as at HI speed mater acts as LIQUID ...

At 2:03 you can see bullets impacted by other objects tend not to be deviated as they act alike LIQUIDS on impact

The only solution is to AQUIRE the object and place a thruster rocked attached to it a slow constant burning one so energy can be transfered efficiently to it and not be dissipated kineticaly .

See that no deceives you... the warning Jesus left...

I say this because I am certain this is another Hoax of Werner Von Braun... And after the asteroid fear we get the evil Aliens threat that Reagan explained in the UN... and then it will be to late to wake up.

As long people believe MSN, they will be lost... That broad road leads to death.

After the comet hits Mars, there will be far too many new close asteroids to track. Earth is sure to get bombarded within a few months.

Yes, there were "rumours" about it in the mainstream media but noting was official until the last week.

AIDA is a low-budget international effort that would send two small craft to intercept a double target.
While one probe smashes into the smaller asteroid at around 6.25 km/s, the other records what happens.

One effect would be a change in the orbital ballet of the two objects. AIDA is not intended to show how we could deflect an asteroid that threatens Earth but it would be a first step.

and that's pretty interesting statement, isn't it?!

In other words they even don't know what effect might produce and disturbance in so far safe passage of the tandem?!

i say we nuke it. then if it breaks into large fragments, we nuke them, repeat until the fragments are acceptably small. what? we cant do that? why? better than stashing 10's of thousands of nukes everywhere for use on eachother, isnt it?

This planet will be swiss cheese in 10 years time.

The American Meteor Society reported 694 sightings in 2009, 954 in 2010, 1628 in 2011, 2192 in 2012, and 450 so far in 2013. See any pattern there? It's clear something is up in our neck of the galaxy.

All of the recent sightings have obviously been over inhabited land. Much of the planet is not even habited, so imagine how many are really happening. That should give you some idea of the quantity of material raining down on the planet at this time. There is a reason The Thugs in Charge have underground bunkers.
It's no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
