These phrases are tossed about without concern to their true intent: a de facto system of gun registration in these United States. I am dead set against any form of registration, since the history of the 20th Century showed countless times that registration leads to eventual confiscation. There is one other inherent problem with gun registration schemes that is often ignored: that is that it only applies to law-abiding citizens. By virtue of established case law and cemented with an 8-1 Supreme Court decision, criminals are exempt from gun registration because it would violate their Fifth Amendment protection from self-incrimination. The Court concluded: "We hold that a proper claim of the constitutional privilege against self-incrimination provides a full defense to prosecutions either for failure to register a firearm under sec.5841 or for possession of an unregistered firearm under sec.5851." It is law abiding citizens who partake of the 2nd amendment. The 2nd amendment is in direct conflict with the continued overgrowth of the federal gov, and THAT is what this is all about.

The calls for universal background checks is really a scheme to get registration, in disuise. Registration is required for effective confiscation. This would mean revolutionary war in the US and nothing less. Hopefully the fedgov realizes this and stops pushing, but I seriously doubt thats going to happen now. The ONLY ones who can stop that now are the fedgov. They are the ones bringing war, and they are the only ones who can stop it.

Ass Hats can make up all the drivel they want, put a fancy seal on a piece of paper, and make all the proclomations they want. Mandatory drivers license, or insurance laws do not stop people from driving? Immigration laws do not stop criminals from jumping the border. Ass Hat Gun Laws will not stop the exchange of guns.
